honestly, you people expect to be able to hide your bonded animal with 100% saftey when such lets you ress to it with no exp loss? I mean eye sigils dont even stop you, so what do you think should?
Unknown2005-09-07 23:44:48
I'd imagine inquisition will strip transmigration.

Add candles, to wall fixtures in artisans.

Hartstone doesn't have any goddamn walls, or a patron with enough time to help us get them. -sigh-

And yes, Alger, I do. I don't like the ability, really. It's either not worth using, or way too strong. I think we should replace it with something else, and get some new familiar abilities.

What I don't want is something that any tracker can find and kill in seconds, causing me to drop dead halfway across the world. The liability is far too large, I think, with it being forcable and with tracking as it is.

EDIT: Oh, and did I mention that Blacktalon get snakes, spiders, and something else I'm not sure of? All of which are found NOT as familiars, and thus much harder to track down and kill?
Unknown2005-09-08 00:11:27
I like it.

If we want to use transmigrate, we lose the use of our familiar. At least that is some drawback.

Keep the pets in a safe room, and realias the recall command, until thing possibly change.

Force doesn't use your clients aliases. I'd be surprised if it used the in-game alias system either, otherwise you can make yourself immune to forcing.

So realiasing the recall command wouldn't do anything.
Sylphas2005-09-08 01:36:59
It doesn't use ingame aliases either, Sentinels tested aliases over Inferno and it didn't work.
Shiri2005-09-08 01:37:36
Tested it here too with pooka, no dice.

Yeah, first thing I tried in Achaea. I just settled for a #alias inferno {#echo No.} zMUD alias in the end, so I wouldn't somehow type it ever.
Bau2005-09-08 03:07:53
Your client aliases are processed through your client first, -then- sent to Lusternia. Being forced to do something leaves your client out of it altogether.

For all that think unite has no combat value, I say one thing. Psh.....
And yeah, the vulnerability of your familiars is incredibly important. You keep saying how they can just unite into the guildhall. Well yeah, but first they have to walk to serenwilde area, that specific part of serenwilde, and then can unite. If your smart, hartstone should never lose exp again. Meh
Sylphas2005-09-08 03:27:23
They can just swim up the river into southern Serenwilde from the ocean, and unite into our guildhall.

You're all talking as though every Druid picks Ecology.

There's runes! Wait, no...

There's dreamweaving! Wait, no...

Okay, nevermind. Any druid that doesn't pick Ecology has a brain tumor large enough that I doubt they'll even be able to spell 'deepbond'.
Diamante2005-09-08 03:52:39
and if they dont pick ecology.....their companion cant very well be killed, can it, seeing as it doesnt exist......Im all up for the candle idea though. And guido, love the drawings man, I never laughed so hard in my life
Bau2005-09-08 04:12:40
Pfft, Guido.

I'm not taking Ecology. I'm happy with my skills as they are (Yes, I am one of the old-fashioned ones who still has Runes.)
Eyod2005-09-08 05:28:46
tsk tsk, throwing rocks at people is naughty.

And why can't you leave it at the Portal of Fates if this bothers you so much?
Sylphas2005-09-08 05:42:42
ORDER SYLPHAS BOND MOVE OUT; TELL RANDOMNEWB "Kill the bitch!"

Bond move is instant, doesn't require equilibrium or balance.
Bau2005-09-08 05:42:59
They're not rocks! They're just little chunks of marble. *nod me*

And besides, if I changed any of my skills, I'd have to start learning stuff again. *swoons*

Well, I sincerely doubt that tactic would ever be used unless you went out of your way to tell people to do it....

Plus, the person would have to locate the familiar, travel to you, order you to move it, have someone ready to kill it, etc. That's not an easy task.
