Gas is petrol, right?
It won't constantly rise like oil prices will, because there are endless supplies of wood in both Serenwilde and Glomdoring now. Hopefully there will be other ways of obtaining wood introduced soon as well.
If you want a frightening discourse on the escalating oil problems, check out Life After the Oil Crash.

That's nothing, wait till I buy all of and jack up the prices.

Umbrawn will love that.

Gas prices are annoying the hell out me. We are paying 4.72 (3.98 US) a gallon for regular. While the U.S is paying 2.82 (2.42 US) a gallon at its highest in Hawaii and as low as 2.16 (1.82 US) a gallon in New Jersey, and we flipping export most of our oil to them.
Even in conversion of currency that puts us 1.90 (1.56 U.S) a gallon over them.

Nowhere in the country is it less than $2.00. I just paid $3.00 even for a gallon. This is crap; I just spent $30 to fill my little ten gallon tank, when it used to take closer to $22-25.
I told people that I wouldn't really complain or care, but that was a few cents. It went from about $2.70 to $3.00 rather quick, and in fact, it went up .10 this week alone.

<3 gas prices.
I wish my car would run on goldfishes. Then, I'd just clean every nook and cranny in my room. Then we'd have enough goldfishes (plus mold) to get us to Canada. Where they run on happy thoughts and sweet dreams.

It's higher here in California, Gregori. Not one gas station in the city I live in is under $3.19 right now for regular unleaded. I'm sad. Good thing I have legs that can carry me!
Edit: Oh and to keep this on topic, Bastion is pissed about the wood situation. Damn trans'd artisan that can't make crap for anyone, and making furniture is what makes his day!

Over here in South Africa we have a company that makes oil from coal, turns it into petrol then sells it for the same amount as imported petrol and makes a big profit.

One quick Off-topic remark: The cheapest gas here is 3.19 for regular and highest is about 3.99 - maybe more since I've checked. I just spent 50 bucks filing up my Accord.
Back on topic. I just put a ton of credits into a Tarot and Arts. I guess I can wait untill the newness of the new skills wears off, then wood prices would return.

I can't think in gallons. It's too hard.
Fuel's about $1.20 - $1.30 a litre in Sydney.

Hajamin2005-09-07 15:51:15
About 1500 won to the litre here... which is just under 1.50 USD.
Unknown2005-09-07 15:54:53
Our gas prices went down about 30 cents a gallon..we're down to 2.98 US a gallon now. Yeah. We were at 3.30 for a bit *mutter*
Bau2005-09-07 16:03:00
Heh, that's nasty, Hajamin. Although I've seen it well up past $1.30 in the country 'round here.
Xavius2005-09-07 17:46:48
Foreign fuel prices shouldn't be spiking like they are in the States right now. It's just that we lost a handful of refineries, a major highway intersection, and some pumping stations for the pipelines. The gas prices here in Omaha are a full 85% higher now than they were before the hurricane hit: $1.85 to $3.45. Only one pipeline runs through here, and it ain't pumping right now. Fuel comes on trucks now. Those trucks need their own fuel to get our fuel here.
Bau2005-09-07 17:59:57
Ours has been slowly but steadily climbing for a long time. I remember about three or four years ago, used to see fuel for 67c per litre.

181650
1500 South Korean won = 1.464801 U.S. dollars
1 litre = 0.264172051 US gallons
1500 x
------=--------------
1 0.264172051
Therefore, 1500*0.264172051=x
Their price per gallon would be $396.26... wait...
Where am I going wrong with my cross multiplication?
Oh, and you can put x
Xavius2005-09-07 18:38:37
$5.54/L, Richter.
(1/.2641) * 1.4648

Joli2005-09-07 23:19:36
