Just as a slight non sequitur here... I also think if attacks had a better EQ/Balance mix, this would help to balance things out. Currently nearly everything is one or the other.

For instance a Mugwump Ecologist nearly never needs to worry about balance, because all his attacks are going to be EQ with the small exception of one or two minor things.

As a Faeling I never worried about ectoplasm. I had no need to and in fact it was usually not till much later that I even realised I had it. My level 3 balance pretty much negated anything Ectoplasm did to me and again almost all my attacks were EQ based. Rune slinging was slightly slowed down, but on a dial up connection with routine lag I wouldn't have notice ectoplasm from a lag bubble.

I notice ectoplasm... mainly 'cause every single thing I do is waiting for balance, have gotten pretty used to how long it's *supposed* to take, and when it's off I get all upset and have to go figure out what's wrong. sad.gif

If Faelings went back to +2 bal and +1 eq, it would be a dream come true.

I just don't think we're that lucky.

So why is level 3 not too much for  faeling. Why is level 3 not too much for an Aslaran Serenguard with Swift Stripes? Why is level 2 not too much for an Ur'guard who can pull masive strength with it?

On forums, we seem to fixate on something at a time. It was once spores, lichdom, trueheal... we've now progressed to mugwumps.

Because a Faeling Ebonguard has such shotty strength, they can't do too much damage.

However, Mugwumps have relatively high int, and lvl 3 eq. So, to be fair, bring a mugwump's int to be on par with a Faeling, non-specialized, strength. Con, as well.

Why are you people even argueing over mugwumps with Narsrim? He'd even say they're balanced if they had lvl5 faster equilibrium, he doesn't want to get downgraded, be the complaints valid or not.

Of course lvl3 faster equilibrium is retarded, I mean come on:

Strength : 12 Dexterity : 14 Constitution: 10
Intelligence: 15 Charisma : 11 Size : 12

Mugwump base stats already rock, in Achaea grooks were overpowered, their stats were far far lower, and they only had lvl1 faster equilibrium, there was a reason for that... lvl3 equilibrium with those stats just cannot be justified.

Even with only a lvl2 faster equilibrium and the same stats they are overpowered..

Though luckily it will be only a matter of time before mugwumps have their lvl2 eq back, because the gods will acknowledge something that's retardedly overpowered sooner or later, and fix it, that's always been the case so far.

Yeah. Grooks had 17 int and level 1 eq sad.gif

Sounds suspiciously like Merian, actually.
