Few novies have asked on CT why pilgrims arent following. I checked them and they dont want to follow you, they dotn respond on I will lead you on peak.

What is going on?
Unknown2005-09-07 13:54:31
I just type "lead peak", and that works. The longer sentences don't seem to work.
Bastion2005-09-07 13:55:27
I dunno, yesterday I had them with, "Yes, I can lead you to the peak."
Unknown2005-09-07 13:57:53
Are they influenced? Paranoid pilgrims won't respond.
Ekard2005-09-07 14:00:21
I checked few at SW from Celest and they didnt respond, one of them, i check 3 or 4 of them.
And i tryied lead peak too, it was always working before.

Alabaster Road. (road).
Superimposed over this location, an ethereal forest reaches up to the sky. The
bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. A cow
wanders about aimlessly, minding its own business and paying you no attention.
Pausing to rest, a taurian pilgrim looks off into the distance.
You see exits leading east and west.

Hmm i have to check it, what should show up in analyze?
Tsuki2005-09-07 14:03:42
'Laidback' in analyze, as the one I found was, is normal. They should be responding normally, but they aren't. Note that sometimes the wind can prevent them from hearing the 'lead peak' and following, but even when I greeted the one it didn't respond as it should've.
Ekard2005-09-07 14:06:01
Those that i tryied to lead on peak were laidback too. And none of them want to follow me.
I even influenced one with compliments and still nothing.
Saran2005-09-07 14:10:57
i went around with a faeling and could only get aslaran pilgrims to follow

I saw Hajamin reading this thread before then!
Shiri2005-09-07 14:46:08
This was happening yesterday, and Lisaera fixed it then. It's recurring problem apparently? blink.gif
Bau2005-09-07 15:22:28
All better! Led some to the Peak myself.

They keep going deaf for no reason. Silly pilgrims, meditating while wandering the roads.
Richter2005-09-07 16:46:09
The trigger word, I believe, is "peak". That usually gets them to follow me.

But, ugh. Don't Ever walk up to a pilgrim and scream "PEAK!" If you have to, set up an alias or something, but it's horrible to say "peak" and expect a reasonable sentient creature to let you lead it around.
Soll2005-09-07 16:50:34
Trigger words are 'lead' and 'peak'.

Pssss. People who just do 'Lead peak.' annoy me. sad.gif
Bau2005-09-07 16:54:53
My alias is and always has been, I will lead you to the Peak, or I will lead you to Avechna's Peak.

If I'm gonna take a shortcut, it might as well make sense.
Unknown2005-09-07 17:58:57
I tried longer sentences, but they never worked.

Ah, AI, the last frontier...
Richter2005-09-07 18:22:57
I always type out the whole thing, even if no one is there.

Go Ar Pee.

You say to a loboshigaru pimgrim, "Excuse me sir, would you by any chance be going to the peak? I hear it's lovely this time of year, all kinds of wildlife, lots of moose."

A loboshigaru pilgrim says, "Moose? My sister was once bitten for a moose."

You say to a loboshigaru pilgrim, "Did they, uh... swap out trigger words?"

A loboshigaru pilgrim shrugs helplessly.

The moose line is from Monty Python.
