I've decided that some of you badly need dates. Step away from the computer, go to a concert, dinner, the beach, anything normal.

I'd love to, but I have this whole thing with work and school that leaves little time or money for fun.
Though, my g/f and I live together, so you might not be talking to me
Richter2005-09-09 17:30:40
So, I'm curious why Tenebrae:
1. Is engaged
2. Didn't just tell the girl... "I'm engaged."
Letting a girl down because you're already in a relationship is much easier than telling her you don't want to date her.

Well, he did say he lived in a very muslim community. I know so little of the culture - perhaps arranged marriages is common?

first thing
1) i am 16, 17 in december.
2) the engagement is not a cultural thing... not exactly.. it is a thing between two people who love each other very much and are planning to get married at a certain point in life, *27*. It serves as a tie between us both... meh..
3) Guido, I am 16.
4) Next time I do this, maybe I will just text her what I mean... at least saves me from something.
5) Felt sorry for her and got some people to ask her out.
second thing
third thing
If you try to commit suicide by starving yourself, you will know that every bite and every breath counts... Just go enjoy your life when you can.. I know I have a certain time to enjoy mine...

I second this. NEVER break up with someone over the phone, online, or via a TEXT message. That's just SAD.
And, yea, you just made her seem REALLY easy. I said hurt her, not wrench her heart out.

-smile- sarcasm over what?
1) I am too young for what? Think of an ordinary life, then minimize it to something that may die lets say around 40. Am I too young?
4) who knows, it could be .. could not.. I seek advice, nothing else.
5) She likes certain people, and I knew that from her friends and from herself, and I merely notioned to people who I knew liked her back.

No one in their right mind has any idea of who they want to spend their lives with at 17. For all you know you'll meet the most awesome person when you start college. If you're only engaged because of "wasting" a bit of your life by waiting.. then fine.. get married.. why don't you have kids at 20 too, since life is so short?
Yes, it was I can understand -why- those girls would hit you.
Yeah, but how do you think that makes her look if you have to go and -ask- them to ask her out? If they don't have the guts to do it themselves then they must not like her that much.
Richter2005-09-09 22:59:05
I'm of the opinion most people aren't -really- ready to get married until about 25.
Poor kid's planning on being engaged for ten years though. *boggle*

I suppose you could take it that way... You could also see it as I'll either be married or single in ten years.

Am I the only one who kept a single girlfriend from 7th to 9th grade?
Galatae2005-09-10 00:03:43
Well, I did have the same boyfriend from the summer after 8th grade until the beginning of 10th grade... though I suppose that doesn't count, seeing as how he wasn't a she.

Though it's pretty obvious I'd have to cheat on you, seeing as how you find women icky.
