With this last batch of changes, the ones that went in for heat and cold damage as stated on announce 393 have been removed. Right now, the environments mentioned do not have any effect on the damage I am doing (via the staff or blast).

Here is a log:

A beach by the Inner Sea.
A smattering of clouds fills the sky, lacing it with spiderwebs of grey. The
sands are white and fine, stretching out around the Inner Sea. High waves roll
in from the ocean and crash down on the beach, churning the sand and often
leaving marine detritus of seaweed, driftwood, smoothed rocks and shells.
Seagulls flock overhead, their voice raised in a noisy cacophony. Low broad
leafed plants and tall grasses thrive on the salty waters, growing in the sandy
soil. The fresh ocean breeze invigorates the senses, and the opposite shores of
the sea cannot be seen.
You see exits leading north, northeast, east, south, west, and northwest.

The Inner Sea.
The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. The
ocean swells and rises, sometimes cresting with white foam. Rife with seaweed
and plant life, the salty waters are crystal blue, a sparkling azure landscape
that stretches out as far as the eye can see. Though the waters are relatively
warm, a dangerous undertow can be felt lurking beneath the surface. The almost
hypnotic rise and fall of the ocean is broken only by the occasional seagull
cawing to its mates, or by the splash of a fish arcing out of the waters.

Regarding spawn, I messaged our envoy with some ideas when I saw the proposal but he totally ignored me.
I suggested either stripping defences, upgraded damage with noticable bleeding or throwing off balance (the last one wasn't probably too smart). I also suggested that spawn be made entourage so we can order it to follow someone and potentially switch targets.

Also, our proposal, at least from what I read in project, was 3 power (which is still near useless imho).

I'd really prefer to have the useful, 8 power skill than useless 3 power one. And it's 5. It's Fabled after all...  closedeyes.gif

But anyway, I was really hoping for the scourge/harrow change so the demon doesn't hit with the same power twice anymore...

I agree on all points. I'm kind of shocked so many suggestions for spawn were just not included, and it makes me wonder just what else didn't make it on the report. I personally mailed 50 suggestions for our skills to our Envoy.

Well, it seems the report is available for viewing in the Guild, 1 and a half suggestions out of 50 made the list, spawn power cost being the 1.

Just because you send your envoy 50 suggestions, does not mean your envoy will submit them all. It is up to the envoy to determine what makes sense and what does not in the suggestions they are given. Usually they will talk to you about how to adjust your suggestions, but don't expect that because you send in alot of ideas they will all make it on the report.

You're exactly right that quantity doesn't always mean quality, and I knew that no all ideas would make the list, but I certainly believed more that 1.5 were justified, welcomed, and would have been added.

You can have multiples spawns attacking a target, just summon two on your enemy and the 10p will actually be worth it. (for long long duels)

I'm fairly sure it was fixed to only allow one per location.

I may have been hasty with anything I might have been implying anyway, for all I know, every single idea the envoy recieved was put in a project, and removed one buy one by after multiple opinions on its not being needed. Alternatively, several I've spoken to tell me they suggested a lot of ideas similar to mine.

What I'm saying is, the only reasons that come to mind for so many ideas being seemingly ignored, is either the letter decayed and the envoy didn't copy them elsewhere, or they were just not liked by one or two people before anyone else looked at them.

Some kid was using it in Bonder Bay the other day, that's the first time I've seen it used in serious combat since closed BETA. Basically for 8p (now 5p) their demon has a baby out of its mouth which attacks people periodically (8 second cycle?) for about 250 damage a tick. It also dies in like 3 hits.

EDIT: Okay, no 8 second cycle, random, best trust Torak there.

Posted the log with timing, you can see how long it is inbetween. The second attack after I had just summoned it took 8 seconds easy, but I hadn't thought of putting on timing quick enough. I will just make suggestions for next report or something. -- The fact that I got in what, 4 cosmic fires before it even had time to attack yet, and it died says it all.
