Are mages going to officially be able to wear head gear?
Because if not:
* lunge/crush to the head from knights is going to decimate us;
* the calculations for tankiness is an average of the armour worn over all parts of the body, and if we can't wear head armour then we're less tankier than we could be whilst bashing
Admin, high int. low con. No damned official head protection. With no armour, wounding /and/ damage is going to suck. This is single crush blackout! No amount of parrying or stancing is going to prevent that.
Oh, and here, just because I Want to be Hated. Helms are currently bugged for at least Aquamancers - if you're wearing head armour right now it seems to be protecting us. Just so every mage feels the pain, can Someone please go through and fix this all mages feel the agony that is no head armour?
Thankyou.

They've gone a little far i agree with head armour, but to be honest everyone going around wearing helms was rediculous.
Maybe have robes be able to give limited protection to the head, not as much as it gives for the whole body, but maybe a little less for the head

Or maybe something a bit less than greathelms for the rest of us to wear. Or an enchanted greathat, like enchanted greatrobes.

no, guardians can wear a chainmail coif (doesn't that sound dicky?)
You need to be able to get a wizard hat that is around skullcap strength, or maybe scalemail strength greathats

There should be enchantable splendor hats for trans tailors.
A pirate hat.
With a plume.

CODE
As your sword slices powerfully towards Ceres' head, the plume on her hat whips out, lightning-quick, and pushes it to one side.

oooooo that would be cool, I want a pirate plume on my helm
Dammit i want a parriot too

Greatrobes should protect head just the same as they protect the rest of the body, it's the most simple and reasonable solution, imho.
Thanks.
I didn't particularly vote for having to wear that you know.

downgrade mages and guardians so they can only wear scalemail, and design a nice scalemail hat as well!
Ceres2005-09-12 12:22:29
Not funny.
Anisu2005-09-12 14:03:27
yeah, bring in the hooded greatrobes!

Ha, that is so awesome. And yeah hooded cloaks should protect your head
Jitwix2005-09-12 14:25:05
How about pointed wizard hats? With stars and stuff?
Athana2005-09-12 14:28:20
How about an artifact helm that mages and gaurdians can wear..Mmm
Unknown2005-09-12 14:59:11
No, I don't think forcing people to spend credits is fair.
Kaervas2005-09-12 15:28:15
Hooded greatrobes all the way.

I haven't read Terry Pratchett, but the Disney movie Fantasia had Mickey Mouse in a pointy blue wizard's hat with stars on it, at one point.
