That's all fine and good... but keep in mind people like me DO exist... I would play final Fantasy 97 if they kept pumpin them out. But being the Pump it Up freak that I am (DDR is sin incarnate!), I could see something crazy with this controller + a dance pad... Imagine the possibilites!
That said, Secret of Mana, boom Revolution is awesome! Still can't wait for some more PS3 news though...

Meh, I'm not crazy about it. Looks like more to break, because I've had issues with motion control things like that before. And when I'm playing video games, I try to keep arm flailing to a minimum, because when I'm playing my xbox, I'm usually tired and I just want to sit there and play whatever, not wave a weird looking controller about.

I think it will be great, and I am going to buy a Revolution no matter what. Been with Nintendo since the beginning, yar!

I love all the innovation that Nintendo is bringing to the market. While the other companies crank out the same games with better graphics every year, Nintendo isn't afraid to take a chance. It's too bad it will cost them.

IMO nintendo should give up on consoles, and just focus on making games for xbox and playstation. happy.gif

Never. With them would die the gaming industry's last powerful creative force, and its oldest herald. I would cry. I swear to god, I would cry.

Nintendo; the only organization that Guido will never betray.

then they wouldn't be Nintendo, they'd be some lame game company getting commisioned for crappy half baked games becuase there not allowed to create innovative games that break away from the mold. Nintendo is the only full game company that is focusing souly on improving gaming. Sony and Xbox are focus on making a multimedia platform.

Brings you back to my point. That is, unfortunately, what the masses want. The average person marketed to today wants a machine that will play their crappy movie spinoff/half arsed attempts at/generally censor.gif games, play their DVDs and hold their coffee. At the same time. While flashing. And stuff.

You want my advice? Dig out a SNES or a SEGA and start playing the quality games. I was on Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario Bros. 3 last night it was just immense fun.

EDIT: And it won't cost you a good 300 quid to do.

I miss my Mega Drive and Wonder Boy. They were the best.

Oh, and Alexx the Kidd on the Master System.

laugh.gif Didn't the Wonder Boy totally bomb? It was kinda before my time.

Actually *goes to make a vintage game thread so we don't hijack and attract Richter with his great big ma... mod stick*

*worries he'll get flamed simply for posting, as is now usual*

Not with sony trying to prevent companies from being able to easily port games across all available consoles, while nintendo is trying to make it easier for everyone

worthy.gif the australian president was interviewed on a radio station over here, he said were a company of gamers and that they want to see quality games brought to the market (i.e not a hundred clones of a sports game)

Out of 129 games coming out in the next 3 months for the PS2 25% are original.
Look at movies, count ten movies that came out in the past year that were NOT based off a book, or previous movie. Unless you're a movie buff it will take you a while to think.

My point is this, originality is running low... very low. The new Xbox is just a less heavy version of the old, and PS3, much the same. I mean sure a few things will be improved but it's like switching from Game boy Advance to Game boy Advance SP. People buy it because they where told to by the media.

The Revolutiobn will user in a new age of Lazy people, lessoning your work to only one hand on some games, backwards compatibility all the way back so you don't have to stand up and plug your other systems in. And still you feel in the game, part of the experience.

You will not have to swing your arms around like mad for all the games. Ever played Time Crisis? You can rest the gun on your lap and it will react to the slightest movement. The revolution controller however will be far more comfortable to hold then a lightgun.

Sure I'll buy a PS3, but I'm definetly getting a Revolution first.

That my opinion, live with it.

PS. Yar!

I'm just going to be happy (i know, shock horror) if i can get the Link version of the Revolution
