QUOTE(Ceres @ Sep 19 2005, 02:09 AM)
I was an Aslaran as a Paladin Bonecrusher, by the way.

As I recall, Ethelon went Paladin after me, and was never as successful. On several occasions, he fought from behind Serpent's prismatic barrier, which at the time could be attacked from behind without dropping it.

Your ignorance increases as your own BS spills from your mouth kiddo. I used prismatic once in battle, during a huge raid on Celestia where there was a huge geo demesne and people like you chilled at the Pool while I went after the geo. I was never that great as a Paladin, but there is no way you were better, seriously, all your kills were on lesser fighters, even Murphy who was still learning to fight at the time. Geb, all she ever used was Inquisition, seriously, repeatedly, she would whore it until she got it off. That is not skill. The reason I keep saying she should go Aquamancer, as explained before, is I just thought she was better as one at a time. Just an opinion

Ceres was an okay bonecrusher from what I remember, though she was like me at the time and spammed Inquistion against people tongue.gif

Not that I care one way or another for Ceres, but I see alot of people sitting here accusing her of whoring one tactic to fight, and giving kudos to Murphy for his skill in....whoring crush head and strike rleg. Have a look at his logs again. He quite literally sat that with crush narsrim head on his command prompt and kept hitting the enter key until it went through. Which is exactly what you are saying is wrong with Ceres' fighting skill.

Bonecrushers have to use Crush to inflict more wounding on a person, then someone needs to inquistion them. I agree Crushing straight out is a little off, but I don't believe you can compare it to whoring inquistion which does far worse if you pull it off.
Asarnil2005-09-19 12:35:28
I agree with Ethelon's assessment wholeheartedly about Ceres as a Paladin. She had no skill in a fight, and even when she got inquisition off, I was always able to escape from her before she could get a kill and redef up. And this was before I started using a decent system and my offence was even worse.
Murphy2005-09-19 12:38:45
i have macroes, and yes I hit the command a few times to beat the latency.

one of my tactics is crush head to critical and then mess up from there. You can't whore curshes to the head because you run out of power.

Also, using my primary skillset if someone isn't going to defend against basic stoppable stuff like that, then why do anything else to them? my killing method is bashbrains or burstorgans, with bashbrains being the preference. Hence, it involves getting someone prone. If they stance and parry perfectly then you need to use a lot of different tactics and skills to manipulate their system around to where you want it

I also am impatient and hit the same command a few times, love having macroes

When Ceres was an aslaran bonecrusher, she pretty much managed to kill every prominent fighter of that time with relative ease and regularity.. people seem to have selective memories, hmm?
Asarnil2005-09-19 13:12:01
She killed me once. biggrin.gif Every other time we fought, she went straight for the inquisition, it wore off and I ghosted away with ease.
Thorgal2005-09-19 13:16:11
Ghosting isn't going to kill someone though. tongue.gif
Asarnil2005-09-19 13:22:53
Neither was her inquisition me - it just caused me to ghost off, redef and come back in.
Ceres2005-09-19 15:26:48
Heh. Being able to run away from someone does not make you a better fighter than them in any way.

Being able to escape from Inquistion, doesn't mean someone is better then them also.

How is it possible for her to whore Inquisition then? Please, explain to me how it is possible to whore inquisition, but it is impossible to whore crush? Last time I looked, crush only costs 2 power, the total inquisition process costs like 11 power.
Asarnil2005-09-19 18:14:51
Crushing heads to critical evens out at 8-12 power at LEAST so that point is moot geb.
Revan2005-09-19 18:15:27
I killed Ceres about 10 times when she was an Aslaran BC. She got lucky once and inquisitioned me, but other than that, she was horrible.

Only killing said person once, when you had already gotten them low and got your opponent had never been inquisitioned before so didn't know what to look for doesn't make you a better fighter than them either.

You killed me thrice, and I you twice.

Would you care to try it now, with protection scrolls, the stun fix, et cetera?

I thought not.

Nonsense. Murphy criticals my head in 2 crushes.

Rubbish. Not even Ethelon would contest the superiority of my skill over yours.
Revan2005-09-19 18:29:43
Umm, Ceres? I killed you 10 times. You killed me maybe once or twice. Don't even try. Also, I could most likely destroy you even with scrolls and nerfed stun. But being that I'm currently leafy, it'll hagve to wait. I look forward to fighting you, since it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll still suck in 5 month's time smile.gif
Ceres2005-09-19 18:34:53
That was kinda the point.

Plants should not speak smack.
