handmaiden does damage, paralyses and maybe mana drains i'm not sure about the mana drain

Handmaiden kills you then rapes your granny.

It's true sad.gif

The Handmaiden is way overpowered. Without even ordering it to kill someone, it automatically searches your enemies list, finds out their RL address and mails them a letterbomb laced with anthrax.

And blackout and stun are way overdone. Along with karma they're one of the prime factors resulting in the general degradation of skill in Lusternian combat and/or PK.

I have already made my opinion on this subject abundantly clear in other posts. Stun and Blackout are overly done in this realm. It seems that anytime an ability is found to need a bit more nastiness, stun and/or blackout are tagged on it.

I do agree with Cwin’s assessment though. I also feel that the design concept of Lusternia’s combat has somewhat backed the developers into a corner. It will take a bit of work for them to repair the problems.

Stun is, indeed, overdone. If only because I'm tired of getting messed up by Jellyfish.

Stun and blackout are equally bad really, when I was fighting Borca for example (dreamweaver geomancer), his demesne together with flicking motes blacked me out perpetually, I couldn't see the start of chasm, I couldn't see the second message and I couldn't see the last message...

During the fight before the chasm I was blacked out 98% of the damn time as well, what am I supposed to do against that? If I run everytime I'm blacked out, I'd be always on the run, since I'm permanently blacked out the moment I enter his room. At least with stun I can see what's happening, and react accordingly when I get unstunned.

So that's two major changes to stun now, please make blackout cureable and not stackable. worthy.gif Roark

I like the new changes to stun, large races needed more of an advantage. Especially if Faelings get to hover too. happy.gif

A large race will be harder to stun than a small race. This is not a
downgrade for small races. In fact even a faeling may notice some
decrement to their stun time with the new formula; the formula just
works better for igasho than faeling.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Avechary, in the year 127 CE.

Does this mean stun is the same length for everyone but Igasho have more chance of avoiding it than Faelings, or Igasho will be stunned on average for a shorter time than Faelings? Or some combination of the two?
Murphy2005-09-18 00:35:17
it means that stun length won't change for the smaller races, and in fact might get fatser.

Larger races wont be stunned as long
Terenas2005-09-18 01:03:06
Actually, the stun effect is currently in reversed. I tested earlier against Iasmos and Elryn. Against Iasmos who is size 21, I shieldstunned him 9 out of 20 times. Against Elryn, size 4, I shieldstunned him 0 out of 20 times. Fix pleasesign.gif.

And judging by the changes being observed at moment, it seems to affect chance of stun, not so much length.
