How many lines of text can you put on a standard page? Is it still practically unlimited, or is there now a reasonable limit so you'd have to buy thicker books to write long stuff?

Still unlimited. I have a 780ish line document.
Xavius2005-09-19 03:05:56
780? Yeesh. I'd say 80-100 would make a reasonable page.

You can suggest for skills you don't have, as an envoy.
And I agree. A limit needs to be made. I know, I know - it's "magical" and all that. But come on. Why spend the insane amount of comms on an omnibus when you could just make a guild pamphlet - which holds identicle information?

It's unlimited? I was sure I was having to make new pages for some things I was writing down.

You have no idea how ungodly awkward is is to read a 780 line document. Pages are , but the scroll would be too expensive to copy so often if it was a 50 page tome. Still, you're all probably right - there should be a limit

I use pages to denote knew sections in documents, it is far tidier and looks more professional.
Bugger the cost, I've got nothing else to spend gold on...Nevermind the fact that Laneth is naked, I've decided skyclad is in.

Well, this is a scroll I get copied a lot, and it's so much easier to update this way Just clear everything, then copy and paste my .txt, and it's updated.

Hehehe, I know this feeling. <3 Although, it's not difficult to make a scroll into sections and subsections, using roman numerals and letters. Very simple, and, honestly, I find it more organized than pages.

Try making reference material that way

Don't suppose you could email me that blank text file that is formatted for page width? I try and try, but mine keeps buggering up.

I'll post this ruler here for everyone's benefit:
123456789112345678921234567893123456789412345678951234567896123456789712
Written works (posts, help scrolls, books) are 72 characters wide, as that ruler states. Put that at the beginning of your text file, size the window to it, and use enter at the end of each line (keep wordwrap off).
Unknown2005-09-19 06:04:57
Yeah I made a ruler of my own too, though it still annoys the poo out of me. I think I must forget to hit enter.

Don't use wordwrap!
Unknown2005-09-19 06:56:25
Hmm yes that was probably it. Evil evil wordwrap, how I hate you so.

I just write, and it comes out all prettylike most of the time.
If a few short words stick out too much, I go back into it AFTER saving, and move them alone to the next line, etc. Eaaaasy.
