Narsrim2005-09-20 19:59:06
I recently started playing Aetolia again. It was more or less an accident as I just wanted to log in Irawn to see how things were going. I arose to find my city in shambles, my guild (the guild I founded as the first GM) basically dead (in a bad way), etc. Furthermore, I got to meet my beloved Niuri (the best goddess ever) who has sucked me back into craving hardcore RP.
As a result, I've decided to start splitting my time between Aetolia/Lusternia. Whereas I love Lusternia for being so evolved (Aetolia seems so primitive), Narsrim is more or less a fighter. He raids. He slaughters. He plots to thwart Magnagora. While that is nice and I've had a great time at it, it seems so shallow compared to Irawn, the scholarly Bloodborn vampire who is constantly caught up between being the sadistically wicked vampire he is on top of researching various methods to torture angels, enslave mortals, and altering his undead form (right now, I want to increase morale in my city by building a brothel that will house enslaved persons from all around!).
As such, I find myself wanting the both of best worlds: RP and Combat. This isn't to say that Lusternia is not up to par RP wise with Aetolia, it just cannot compare on a personal level for me. Narsrim started off from day 1 as a fighter. That's all he has. Irawn, however, is a notable fighter, but at the same time, he started off as an enslaved servant who basically struggled and fought his way to the top. When I logged him in, people were begging me to stay and become active because Bloodloch truly needs him.
Anyhoo, I just wanted to let everyone know if you aren't seeing me around quite as much, you now know why. I have no intent to let Narsrim go idle or anything, he just won't be the insanely active person he is now. I should still be around for many hours a week so I'll wait to see how that works for being the guild champion and all. I'll still be around to terrorize Magnagora.... but just not incessantly (yay?).

Well.. I'm splitting my time on Aesyra right now too so I can't really say anything, but I'd hate to miss a chance to raid Nil again just because you aren't around, understood?
Nyla2005-09-20 21:48:20
Muhahahaha.. now I can have Narsrim sire me... evil thoughts
Lisaera2005-09-20 22:15:46
No, you can't.
I always knew you were a sadist, Narsrim!

Hmm you could always run them both at once? I don't think IRE has anything against that .
Richter2005-09-21 00:42:22
Remember, Aetolia is the retarded younger brother of IRE. I migrated from over there, and haven't looked back.

Aetolia is under new management, from what I understand.
I am going to be moving over at some stage.

...and all thoughts I ever had of playing Aetolia just went right out the window.

I'm still pissed that a certain former-Seneschal could get away with hacking/suiciding my character and bragging about it without a bad word from the admins of punishment or anything.
I'm not even allowed to change my older character's name to the suicided's, and all lessons and credits invested in the suicided character were lost, the character being completely lost by the next day.
To which I have to say a big screw you, Aetolia.

Yeah, Avasyu and Sarapis are running the show. Huzzah.
But I'm still not going back. *mutters curses under her breath towards Alecto*

I hated Alecto, but that's because I was always breaking rules. I was a newbie to IRE games, and I hated that she took my ring of pestilence that I got from someone on my other character.

Dunno about Aetolia. I played Imperian until I realized that the city I joined required every citizen to pay 1000 gold per year in taxes or else face getting kicked out and being enemied. So I've got a dusty, level 42 Malignist just sitting around...

1k gold? Pfft. I'm sure it's not that much.
And there's a quest in Stavenn that gives you 1k gold for picking up a piece of parchment and taking it to someone. The whetstone quest (also just picking up and taking to someone) gets you 500 gold and resets fairly quickly.
Lazy bugger.

Aetolia always looked neat with its dark setting. If I ever get the credits to play there, I might start up a Paladin and go around acting like I'm Van Helsing or something. *g*
