He dangles for a few moments before the rope chokes the last of his life out of him, a strangled chuckle being the last sound he makes. When you cut him down from the gallows, a closer look reveals an emblem of the Moon on the collar of his robes.

Chortling to herself, the once Holy Mother pulled her robes close about her. She did not want anyone seeing the horrid thing she had become. The taint had warped her, corrupted her. No, they could not see her. Not until she Ascended to Vernal Godhood. Then, perhaps, they can see her; once she was in her full glory, ruling the seas with an iron claw, mutated stalks twitching this way and that, striking fear into all.

Yet such was not meant to be. She had met with the Dark Council, and had decided on their kill for this night. She hoped they would slaughter another of the hopeless remnants. These untainted fools stood in her way, in her path to greatness and power.

Suddenly, she turned. No. It could not be. She had thought this village was safe! No! It was too far away! How could one have gotten here?! So close! Again that sound. It was made as her assailant moved closer. No. How? It should have been seen. Stopped. Slain. Something. No.

Screaming was all the once Holy Mother Shelma could manage, before all went dark.

Holy Mother Shelma, Tainted has been slain. By who's hands, all wonder - her shredded remains splatter a village road, discovered by a poor child. The local illuminati thought it better to turn the child into a butterfly and smash it than let it remember its horrible find.
