I'm of the opinion that if Ibby were actually personally assigning the roles, rather than just randomly assigning them... then Shiri would be the taintscum, and I would be the nice, clean one.

On the one hand, I can't get myself to trust Shiri's actions to prove his innocence either.

Normal furrikin "citizen." (Yes, yes, I know they're communemembers. Not my fault.) I have a sacred limb of the lakewood tree. I don't know what it does, but ideally I'd give it to someone I trust during the night and they'd do whatever with it. I can't use it, though, since in theory at least I'm a normal townie, but I said plain town roles were boring after the last game so I got "normal townie with a bizarre ability." While trying to point it at Cwin to see if it did anything (, I thought it was an exploding stick, I had no idea what it was) I was informed that no, it was supposed to be apparent that it was for a friend. And yes, I know it's ironic that I ended up as a furrikin, but that's not my fault! I'm not quite sure who to trust at this point, so if I die today you're probably not missing much (the stick probably gives the wielder some weird ability like...meh, not sure) but when my role gets revealed on death you know you're meant to kill people who voted for me.

So Bau, try and convince us.

Really? Forget what I was saying before about him being innocent - that 'claim' sounds like convoluted Bellator Societes to me. I change my vote - unvote Bau, vote Shiri. I do NOT believe Ibby would put such a random role into the game and Ibby assigns roles randomly, from what I understand of the initial post, and what was done in the previous game. You randomly being chosen as a furrikin is... unlikely.

I do believe she would put such a random role, and I have good reason to believe so.

Those're the people voting me so far. If I get killed, these are the people I recommend lynching. Bau, Cwin, and Munsia. Etanru I can't remember, Shorlen doesn't seem so bad, Branwyn is bandwagoning, Suhnaye is clueless, and Laysus I don't know about. Munsia is just being weird, Bau is (obviously) acting all defensive, and Cwin always talks bizarrely so I don't really know what her motivation is. Recommend Bau and Munsia first, though. As for the random role: Yes, it is that way, because too many power roles would be overpowered. Can you really see an 18 person game where everyone had an important skill? We'd probably end up with like 3-4 kills every night, and it'd end really really fast. So we have townies with minor abilities. You guys'll see tonight probably. Make sure to note down everyone that voted me so you know who to look at later. And get Bau to claim. She's still being quiet...

In Bau's defense, I think she fell asleep at the Keyboard. Her name is grey on AIM, and has been idle for 21 minutes. And has been online for 23 straight hours.

But, it's always amusing to try and get as many people in a single night to claim.

I'll take a risk here and see if I can't save Shiri. It will either work, or it will just get me next on the chopping block.

There -are- random roles like this, because I have one too. I have no idea what the item I have does, but it is slightly different to Shiri's. Unless certain Taint-scum are given information about these items, so that they could pretend to be a regular citizen, I can't imagine how Shiri's role could be so similar-sounding to mine.

Fair enough. I recommend you all wait to hear her try and make up some excuse before you lynch me, then. But of course, if she's tainted the bad guys won't want her to have a chance to be revealed.
