So you're saying that Bau, who transed tailoring (twice) well over 10 years ago, and originally closer to thirty years ago, should NOT be able to wear her splendor robes because she's only level 52? Even though splendor robes can only be MADE by a trans tailor, and can only be WORN by a trans tailor?

Did I say splendor robe? I don't know anything about splendor robes. But if you think 50 is a better limit than 60 then sure why not.

I think limits are ridiculous. They cost enough to buy, especially if you don't have the robes themselves made by me.
Paying 10-15k as a novice is bad enough, let alone shelling out for amour until you get to that level so you can use greatrobes.
And splendor robes are just a better form of greatrobes only available to trans tailors.

Um, maybe in order for the forging trade to be more profitable, the items a forger may make should be more needed by everyone.
One half of forging is armour which is needed by everyone. But this is competed by tailoring's greatrobes. Maybe (my character is a tailor so he is eeping as I type this ) a reduction of the blunt/slashing protection provided by greatrobes but to compensate greatrobes may have 3 proofs. Maybe an RP effect can be added to those who wear armour, like an 'intimidation' effect. Mobs cowering, fearful, be on-guard and such. Maybe wearing armour (or the lack of) might increase/decrease the effectiveness of certain types of influence attacks.
Another half of forging is weapons which is needed by the warrior class mainly - a fraction (though sizable, still a fraction) of the population. In order for weapons to be needed (or at least more useable and therefor more attractive) by everyone, maybe lusternia can have the weapons proficiency option similar to achaea? Or maybe a small skillset for every type weapon, available to everyone should they want to buy them with credits, to perk interest?
Forging need not always be about armour and weapons. There should be other things a forger or blacksmith should be able to make. Like horseshoes! Or metal gates!
An idea maybe is armour for mounts! Weee! An AMOURED warhorse!
If ever characters can raise their own private army/band with mobs, (I remember suggestions with housing manses on this) then these NPC soldiers would be armoured and armed.
Anyway that's all I can think of. By the way EVERYONE BUY MORE TAILORING GOODS! (my character talking not me )

We oinly just had greatrobes fixed, thank you. They can already have three proofs by simply wearing a cloak over it. (I'm not sure if that's a bug or wht).
Armouring mounts would be nice, they're slain far too easily.

If I had ecology, I'd want armour for my familiar.

I think forging is fine as it is.
I would only one litle change, rise stats for chain armour, it should be around 60/60 or 65/65. Then Guardians could chose do they want chain mail and 2 resistances from coat/claok or greatrobe with litle less defense and 4 resistances.
And realy forgings si good trade skill if you ask me. Just look at my shop Blue Star Armoury.
I have realy nice profit from sellings those forging items, you just need to invest LOT of gold to buy comms.
That reminds me i need to put AD for my shop.
