Wtf were we supposed to do? We had one druid with no power. Their mages should have melded all of Celestia, established a chain of command..or SOMETHING. Everyone kept trying to follow me at one point and I'm like.. I don't KNOW my way around here, you're the Celestians here.

The thing about worlburn I won't adress because both sides have done it and there's no defending raiding or defending with it. I agree that the orginzation was messed up and lead to all five supernals dead. This happen the last time when we killed all five and the same results came again
Torak2005-09-25 03:47:25
Malicia, Ethereal is easy to defend, don't be so retarded. You have totems, guards and can wisp whore constantly. You have your defense handed too you, the same can't be said about Nil or Celestia ..
Athana2005-09-25 03:48:53
Very nice

You guys should try hitting the Moon Avatars/Hart, or maybe we should hit the Demon Lords.
Our mights are more comparable, so the victory will be much more meaningful than Serenwilde over Glomdoring or Magnagora over Celest. And I just feel sorry for Glomdoring, so giving us someone else to focus on would be nice.
Malicia--
I'd love to see it too. We've come a looooong way from the Valek and Daevos bulldozing days. They wouldn't even try it.

Thats what I was responding too
Malicia2005-09-25 03:57:32
Ethereal wasn't always so easy to defend. We weren't organized and this was when ALL totems worked, regardless of bonding or not. Either way, it doesn't matter. They wouldn't try it. It's not so hard to defend Nil or Celestia if you get a meld in place and have enough numbers.
I mean, how hard is it? They could just invade Ethereal, erect a shrine and worldburn us as they go for avatars. Monos stop wisp, Torak. Don't be retarded.

Torak2005-09-25 04:00:38
Monos can be ganked. I am not saying Nil and Celestia are impossible to defend either, I am saying Ethereal is far too easy to defend. Besides, Celest used the worldburn and it was fine, Mag uses it and its 'OMGZ WTF!' Bit of hypocrisy anyone? I am sure if Ethereal's defenses weren't handed to you on a nice shiny platter Magnagora would drop an avatar.

Awwww, the Ethereal Plane a bit too tough to get through?
Yah, I must admit the ethereal forests are so difficult to put up an effecitive attack against.
Oh. Wait. That'd almost make you think that Glom could keep there avatars alive for one consecutive week at a time. Guess not.

They lasted a lot longer than one week!

Worldburn doesn't do a lot against guards and totems, last I checked.
Malicia2005-09-25 04:06:22
Monos can't be so easily 'ganked'. I can barely find an enchanter to MAKE monos, much less dismantle them. Wisp is made 100% useless by monoliths. It'd be near impossible to raid an area completely melded by a geomdancer which is why when Serens raid, we most often always have a druid with us.
I didn't raid Nil with a shrine. I think Nars was issued for doing it that one time, it was deemed illegal and Mag turns around and uses it. Twice now? I could care less. I'm rather tired of arguing the right and wrongs of things. No one can ever be right if no one thinks they're wrong.
Guards are a secondary line of defense for any commune. You -need- people participation. Remember those SIXTY-FIVE guards Narsrim and Diamante nailed in Angkrag? Anyhow, my point is that worldburn is a huge deterrent. Rather hard to go in and attack your enemy, while taking 1500-2000 damage every few seconds from an enemy shrine.

From an ooc perspective, I'd like to see the areas containing Aspects of Hart/Crow be separate from the Etherwilde/Etherglom.
That way if someone can get in (and its far easier to get into the Hallow than the Nest), there won't be any guards or totems to defend them, just manpower. I don't know how easily the Aspects can be slain though, or what effect that has on an organization other than losing the extra power from manifestations.

Shrines offensively seems fine to me, it's called strategy... Really this is mostly a theory battle, but I don't think a geo would have enough time to meld all of ethereal, espicially around Avatars if Serenwilde keeps an eye on ethereal. Anyways , I am out of here now.
EDIT: Those 65 guards were pocketed in groups of 12 for some reason Mali, or so said Diamante or Narsrim..one of them.

Oh, right. Dreamforms have a harder time getting into the nest. Corporeal forms would have an easier time getting into the nest. I hadn't thought about the dreamweaving bit.

Also somehow glomdoring figured out how to put guards in the nest when seren hasnt

Supposedly guards follow you, but I don't know if this is just a problem with ours or if it's worlwide, but they actually...go into your entourage, but then don't follow you when you move. IF that's just a problem with ours, that explains how they get up there...
