Actually, I don't remember anything officially saying that using shrines to raid was illegal after the Narsrim-Hajamin-shrine-Nil episode. Did I miss some announce somewhere?
What irked us about the episode on Nil, was not that it was a bad tactic. Honestly, it's a really effective one, but one that the other side had slammed us badly for using before.
I believe we saw it as fair game, once it had been established that the other side had blackened their pot as much as our kettle and could no longer sit on a moral high horse and flame us for it. It was more about the attitude than the actual skill.
I honestly don't remember anything saying it was outright illegal though.

If the Admin remained silent about the tactic's use on Nil, then their silence essentially validated it.

We put shrine by Megalith cose i droped Luciphage corpse ( ) and Yrael had corpse and was sitting with 25 guards there. Not to mention about beckoning into this guards.
And by the way. Snake pits are overpowered!

Well, there was one raised at Gorgulu, although that's not by the Megalith.
And aww...

What I liked about this one was that almost everybody was there. Except for geb and narsrim I remember seeing almost everybody who would defend there. So no more going you did it while we werent looking topics. This aint to gloat or anything, because that was challenging. Juggling you guys while we fought meth and shak was very confusing. Trying to get to that shrine at Elohora wasnt exactly easy and as always Razielas just a pain in the ass to fight (hate porters)
Alger2005-09-25 10:22:57
and yeah there were two shrines raised on Nil one was near the 'lith because Yrael and I were trying to tackle/charge beckon their whole group into guards (hey it was just the two of us so it was the best available tactic). Then they dropped a shrine but never got it to go off. By then though Daevos and a couple of others had entered the realm.
The gorgulu incident was the second shrine.

I did authorize the shrine use on Nil, but afterwords I thought about it and it is fairly cheap. That said, I told My Order not to do it again, but I don't know of any official Admin response to it.

Basically, use of shrines is limited by two things: Admin rules, and God rules.
What this means is except for the stuff directly banned by the administration, for example using shrines during influencing, a shrine can be used however the God whose essence it is using wishes.
That's not to say Gods won't forbid certain uses of shrines, or come to an agreement between themselves about uses of shrines that shouldn't be done. We do have some integrity you know.

When we were getting worldburned during an influencing run, it hadn't been deemed illegal until we raised up a storm over it. Then Estarra yanked them out. Before that though, I asked Lisaera if we could up a shrine to counter what they were doing and she was all like, 'stfu, no Mali.' Lisaera and her integrity!
I'm kidding!
