As I said, there should be a DISADVANTAGE for the raiding party and an ADVANTAGE for the defending team. This is present in Ethereal Serenwilde/Ethereal Glomdoring. It is not, however, found in Celestia or Nil.
I think making it so the enemy must pray if they die (at a cost of 1000p per hour) and that the defenders can all conglutinate is damn fair.

You can also place totems and Guards around your avatars in Ethereal, but you can't in Celestia/Nil. I honestly don't like this idea because it comes from people whining about dieing. If you don't want to get killed, don't raid.

Really good. Only because I don't do doesn't mean I cant...ooooohhh....and WAIT....I actually defended a lot! Oh yeah, mighty Narsrim justm ight not have noticed me with his nose so high.
Whatever. We could make a bet. 800 credits. As soon as that thing comes into effect, there'll be at MOST 1 raid in a month. And that one half hearted and stops after the first death.
Oh, and sorry if I want to have the skills I payed money for, others didn't but that's their hard work and I admire that. But we aren't talking about -spores- now.
They still work off monoliths, my friend. You want that conglutinate doesn't work whatsover, that's different.

I'm telling you right now that you cannot. I've lead teams against them, I know the damage they do, and I know how terribly from experience you heal. You'd get roasted and toasted in a hot second. And even though you have defended a lot, that's absolutely wonderful. It has nothing to do with raiding and the lack of disadvantage.
Furthermore, there is at best 1 raid on Celestia/Nil a month on average. If you read what I stated above, it would only apply on the cosmic planes.
And no, spores DO NOT WORK IF STANDING ON A MONOLITH. I have spores. You don't have spores. Stfu.

I paid money to trans druidry, but I can't forest on Earth, Water, or Etherglom. I want this revoked.
192341
ever heard the words don't piss me off today? No?
Now you did.
You can't compare a Mage/druid skill to trans planar. Why not? Well, for example because that skill is a guildskill and not overall accessible

Meh, there's 41 essence to gather? Hmm...oh right, maybe both planes together. Or even on one plane and I just don't hunt good enough. Still, makes my point even more valid.
And Shiro...guards and statues don't help much, they could still be attacked and killed.

There's, like... 22 starsuckers and 16 leeches, or something similar. And you can get more than one essence from each corpse.
Add in the grubs and gargoyles, and you can grab between 80 and 160 essence each hour, multiplied by the number of sands you've got. The only problem with this is other people hunting at the same time, you have to share the essence with them- but when it's entirely for gaining power for the organization, you get a TON of power.

Okay, now slow so that you understand it.
Okay, I heal terrible? And? I would get roasted and toasted, and I'd taste absolutely wonderfull? And? I could -still- bring a hit in, and even that counts, and then I'd conglutinate and come again.
1 raid per month? You, sir, haven't been here for the past week, obviously.
And I SAID THAT SPORES DON'T WORK IF YOU SNORT THEM ON A MONOLITH! I HAD THEM LONG ENOUGH. KTHXBAI!
Narsrim2005-09-25 20:50:39
Reality check: It takes like 200 essence to restore the Supernal (sands don't effect this), 10p for every Celestine to re-establish the pact, and then 1000 power to make up for what was lost. That is not two or three trips to Water.

Thanks for establishing the entire point of my argument. There is NO LOSS for the raiding party if they have conglutinate. Who cares about 1% experience when you can cause some serious damage to your rival? This is absolutely retarded... and I say this from the perspective of someone who used to kill Demon Lords solo. I never risked a damn thing. That's not fair. If the success of killing a Demon Lord is going to have a high impact, failure to kill one should too.

There's also no lose if the defending party has Conglutnate, they can just keep on coming back with minimal exp loss.

Okay... then have your ability sever one to five pacts randomly, drain 10 power from every Celestine (awake or not), and then void the effect of sands until that 1,000 power is restored one by one?

I think you missed the point. There should be a disadvantage for the raiding party. There should be an advantage for the defending party. The only way this balance will be achieved is if the people raiding have something to lose. Furthermore, it only makes sense that given in all other home turf, the defending party conglutinates, that defending Celestinans/Magnagorans should conglutinate on their respective cosmic plane.

My pleasure. Because....well....you know....hate to break it but....the Supernals and Demon Lords shouldn't be killable if they are supposed to never get touched. They might as well have divine fire around them.
PK mostly away from Prime thanks to avenger
PK away from Nil/Celestia because of that skill
Coming soon? Pk away from Earth/Water and Astral
Welcome to Lusternia, the Age of pacifism.

This is a playerdriven RPG.
If raiders should have a disadvantage, make a damn demesne up there. Serenwilde does it, Magnagora does it, even Glomdoring would do it if there would still be Blacktalon in existance....so why, my friend, can't Celest do it?

No, the Demon Lords and Supernals should NOT be killable by people who can continuously walk in a room, hit them, instantly die, conglutinate, and come back. It should require team work and skill that involves survival against them not being never ending fodder. The only reason you support this idea is because it allows you and other people a chance to be "part of the action" even if that means just endlessly sacrificing yourself. I'm sorry but you should have no impact if that's the method you are using.

As you said yourself, I haven't raided on Nil or Celestia.
So no, I don't have any interest in not doing that skill. But I think that would be unfair. Just as using worldburn on the raided is unfair. That's all.

In any case, I've already said that people would still raid and be successful. Amongst those people would likely not be you because as we have established, Ashteru's role is to try and sneak in a hit before getting killed - how amazing.
However, I have killed Demon Lords in the past. I've killed them solo. I've killed them in teams. I know how it works. And I avidly support any measure that makes the raiding part at a disadvantage. First, it makes it more fun. When you do something risky and succeed, it means something. Being able to rape the Supernals and lose nothing even if the entire raid is botched is just lame.
