I believe it's a chunk of tree in his right hand, let me find it....
An ancient grove.
The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. The
trees here are bent and twisted with time, chunks of their branches missing and
torn out of place. Some are rotten, whilst others still thrive despite their
age. Brambles have gathered around the grove, hemming it in so tightly that
even a weevil would be hard-pressed to enter. The sounds of birds and animals
fill the air, whilst a low breeze blows fragments of decaying leaf between the
taller trunks. Carved into four of the larger trees, one at each of the
cardinal points, is a four-pointed star, the holy symbol of Auseklis. An
ugly-looking statue stands at the southern tip of the grove. A leather-bound
book rests on an ornate wooden stand at the western pole of the grove. A huge
throne of thorns sits at the northernmost apex of the grove. A large monolith
stands on the eastern edge of the grove. Auseklis, the First Wanderer looms
here, covered in dirt and twigs. He wields a huge chunk of tree in His right
hand.
There are no obvious exits.

It's good to hear about the possible overhaul. It also makes sense that there's other things to do first.
Thanks for the info. I'm content.
