Celest, go have some Aquamancers meld the catacombs. Keep watches here. Ambush and kill any Ur'guard who enter. When they come in a big group, dig in or pull out. Give 'em hell and maybe they'll loosen up... if they don't, at least you'll piss them off.

But no one in Celest thinks that way, so until further notice Magnagora is, indeed, all the hot **** that they claim to be.

Its totally possible to bash the catacombs, heh. Plus, lotta you folks complaining about that couldnt survivve the catacombs to well on your own. Its deadly. Better alternative is to go to shallach, bash the ur'dead, better than astral and oh so fun. If someone scries, spores out, case closed . *halo* not that I ever bash there.......

I think it's pretty hard to deny that the Catacombs were set up to favour Magnagoran bashers - both in concept and mechanics.

I just hate seeing Ur'Guard tell me it's in their RP to defend the catacombs, when other Ur'Guard will turn around and bash it. Yea, whatever guys. You can be inconsistant with your thought process, but please don't be a punk to the rest of us with it. :P

Ur'guard can bash Orcs, Garwights, and Garghasts. That's totally within their RP. It's slaying the Ur'dead Orchlach that they are -all- firmly opposed to. They don't have much of an RP reason to stop others from bashing the non-Ur'dead, besides 'we don't want that scum setting foot on our favorite vernal god's territory'.

You can't say. 'Well I do it so everyone else can.' In all truth I don't care about these place.. I don't go to them. But it's just the fact that people are claiming its not almost exclusively Magnagoran that is bothersome. Magnagora has the numbers and power to guard it. A single Celestian or Serenwilder going there may soon be met with a small army of magnagorans as if they were trying to raid a village.
And Guido acting like it's a simple fix isn't helping either. Where as Several magnagorans can guard there. Not many Celestians can survive the creatures well enough to have a sufficient opposition.
For whatever reason there are deffinately more powerful magnagoras that Celestians and Serenwilders *couglittleboyswantingtobebad* And Whenever new Celestians come along they get frustrated with the constant fighting and deaths and give up or change cities and Celest is left with a bunch of novices and a few diehards that may or may not fight.
There's not point of going to a place to level if you know you are just going to die. It's hard to get to a point where you won't die so easily. People get tired of dying and start refusing to participate in anything defending at all. The ones that do are just exp fodder for the higher level and skilled Magnagorans.
I guess what I'm really trying to says NERF THE MAGNAGORANS.

Please, please, PLEASE try to read what is said. They claim the UNDEAD ORCLACH are their old friends / guildmates / etc. They DO NOT HUNT THOSE! Instead, they hunt the things which they have no tie to, being gar*'s, and the orcs (who those orclach say "Hey, we don't like them, kill away.")

You're relatively inactive and have no clue about the Ur'Guard, so let me hit you with some facts. Guido summed it up fairly well.
-The Shallach Ruins IS the site of the old Guildhall for the Ur'Guard, as confirmed by Captain Avarath.
-Korath WAS the ancient commandant of the Ur'Guard
-Korath, Krangar, and the ur'dead orclachs are Ur'Guard and will be protected as such.
-Korath is the superior of the gatekeepers
-The gatekeepers want power by opening the trans-planar gates to release the orcs. They, under Korath, reward the person so opens the gate. Thus, they bless us for aiding them. Since the garghasts, garghouls, garwights, garshades, and garskulls hold the items needed to open the gates, killing them HELPS Korath.
-Ur'Guard RP is as solid as stone. I highly reccommend you introspect into your own and your guild's RP before even thinking about commenting on anyone else's.

Don't grill me with facts I'm not questioning, Ixion. I know it's the old GH, I'm not saying that's wrong. And about the other listed facts, I never even brought them up. But, I don't think my inactivity has much to do with it. I don't really care to figure out how to release undead into villages on a daily basis, I just have to remember how to kill them. You can, though, blame my misunderstandings on Magnagorans, shame I can't remember their names from so long ago, who got mad at myself or others for bashing the gar's, having not quite had the chance to even reach the Ur'Guards or gatekeepers.
But, perhaps, then, with the gar -ghasts, ghouls, wights, shades and skulls that hold such fanciable items, why is it you stop others from bashing there to get the items, then pull a fast one of killing them and save you half the trouble? Or, run around with shroud up and take them.
Edit: And as for my Guild's RP, well, I surely think it sucks lately, along with the whole City, but that's a tangent that deserves a thread all its own - I'm just not in a position to fix anything since Hajan00b runs Celest now with their materialistic desires to 'win'.

Magnagora holding the catacombs as their private bashing ground is purely player-initiated and controlled, no code puts it in their favour, they could do the same with any area not giving hard-coded advantages to any organization.
So asking why the gods gave Magnagora an area only they can use is BS. Celestines for example have far more reason hunting and occupying the catacombs than Magnagora, they're just not able to.
