Self-explanatory.

I actually wanted to go for Warriors, considering bonecrusher stun, Faeling wounding and 2000+ damage from some knights since most non knights run around with 3-4k health.

I had to vote Mages though, and I mean Geomancers on this one. Their passive hunger attacks in their demesne are the most powerful and annoying thing I know. Especially since I never carry food. sad.gif

I feel like all archetypes are overpowered in comparison to mine. laugh.gif

I'd go for wiccans actually, specifically Moondancers. But Shadowdancers too....
But maybe it's just because I can't handle a big entourage. *shrug*

Tumble is your friend

I think that warriors are the most unbalanced, in the sense of the gulf between mid level warriors and high level (by level I mean might, credit expenditure and artifacts etc) warriors. I'd say mages overall though.

Tumble would be my friend if I had it. So I have to use it's little brother, running away screaming for help.

And warrior aren't that bad as a mage, actually. Just don't let 'em get you. :>
Vesar2005-09-27 20:48:42
Warriors. High-level ones, that is.

Walk in, lunge, lunge, Vesar dies.

Where's the vote option for: None of the above?

I think it's not fair to judge nerfing based on the archtype. There are pros and cons depending on who you fight. Some people are better than others. Sometimes you get lucky. Sometimes you get unlucky. It comes down to the player's skills, what skillsets they have, what artifacts they have, where they are, who they are facing, what tactics they're using, and how quick they are on their curing, etc. This WoW mentality has to stop. You die so you scream NERF!
Dumihru2005-09-27 20:50:32
The one you can flee from the most easily isn't necessarily the least powerful -- If it weren't powerful, why would you be running at all? biggrin.gif

Edit: And in reference to "low" vs. "high" level warriors, etc. -- Doesn't it only make sense to compare tri-trans members of each archetype (with possible additions of trans resilience, combat, and discipline) ?
Ashteru2005-09-27 20:50:33
What you do is after the walk in and before the lunge. The 'run like a girl' isn't where it should be. Staffs aren't for distance for nothing.
Munsia2005-09-27 21:01:16
Druids are overpowered being able to cause 2k bleeding in a very short time
Rauros2005-09-27 21:06:55
I voted Guardian, for the simple fact that I'm sick of people complaining about how overpowered we are. Just nerf us and let us be on our merry way, so people can stop hassling us. I
Munsia2005-09-27 21:10:03
Why isnt Murphy on the list?
Ashteru2005-09-27 21:14:59
Probably the same reason Narsrim isn't on that list. Or Ixion. Or Amaru.

Mages/Druids are the easiest archetype for me to deal with. So many ways to easily slow down their offense via actions that are available to every archetype. Most of them are not that resistant to damage, so it is not hard to quickly take out most of them with straight damage.

Guardians/Wiccans are a bit harder. Most have superior hindering abilities, or are a bit more resistant to damage than most mages. Normally the fights will take a good while to conclude.

High-end warriors are the hardest for me to deal with on average. The high end ones on damage or speed can either keep me curing blindness while healing wound afflictions, or can do so much damage that it becomes extremely hard to keep my health up or body parts healed. With a few uses of the power expenditure skills (crush, lunge, assault, etc.), I find the body part being focused on put into the critical range normally after one to two rounds of attacks (4 to 8 power expended by the warrior). I can normally survive the burst rounds of damage by running, webbing, or some mistake on the warrior’s part. The hard part is surviving those burst rounds though.
Shamarah2005-09-27 21:30:21
I probably should have said in my post, but I voted for warriors (surprise surprise) for the same reasons as Vesar and Geb.
Jack2005-09-27 22:19:53
Guardians. 1337 passive effects and some kick-arse instakills. I've been considering switching to Nihilists, but I've got some pretty good argh-pee going on in the ur'Guard... plus, the lesson loss would more or less cripple me until my next credit purchase.

Voted for guardians as the strongest. While some may consider Ixion 'overpowered' because he has high damage weapons, I can generally tank him well and he does crappy wounding to me. Mages don't like warriors for obvious reasons.

One on one, a badass guardian will destroy. I.e. Amaru...Narsrim.
Ceres2005-09-27 22:33:16
Narsrim is a Wiccan, not a guardian.

Knights are the most powerful archetype.
