Viscanti should get a lvl2 regen in taint and a lvl1 sipping penalty. Then they are up to par.

No, not so much. Maybe give the broods an extra point of constitution, but master viscanti are already too resilient.

And that's where we pay in int
Xavius2005-10-01 17:25:00
Your int is 15. You talk like it's 12. Do you think all the Seren furrikin feel shafted? How about the dracnari? No, Master Viscanti are just fine and dandy.
Daevos2005-10-01 17:26:11
We are shafted on charisma, which is much more important now. And the furrikin aren't a specialized race.

12 base. City guilds can boost their cha like there's no tomorrow. Netzach, fortuna, populus, all easily within reach of a novice.
Next gripe for the master viscanti?

Well, ok. I guess I can feel a little sorry for you. Influencing with 13 cha isn't near as much fun as 17 cha and the old eq bonus.
Soll2005-10-01 17:41:22
12, +1 netzach, +2 beauty, +2 throne, +1 TF, +1 Fete.. It's available. ( Yes, not always easy to get, but it's certainly possible to get.)
Malicia2005-10-01 17:43:48
I think that the Brood Viscanti are fine as they are.

I understand that but those are all common and available to everyone else too so where a Master Viscanti would have 19 Char with all of those (which really isn't easy to attain them all) High Elfen and Imperial Merian will get 22, and Shadowcaster Faelings will have 23. It all depends on base Charisma so things that everyone can get are not really factors.
Daevos2005-10-01 17:47:31
This is for those who said that mages/guardians didn't have much use for strength or dexterity.

One more thing, Master Viscanti are not the only Viscanti that exist.
Xenthos2005-10-01 17:55:18
Sorry, Daevos. Since elfen are fine, everything else is as well, and none of the specialties need to be looked at.
Malicia2005-10-01 18:10:24
From what I've gathered, some want the Viscanti to see an increase in base charisma stat and to lose the sipping penalty, if not completely, changed to level 1, when Terenas' chart showed how mininal the penalty is in comparison to a normal sip. And if that was directed at me Xenthos, I never said oh, Elfen is fine, everything else is fine. I believe mugwumps need to be looked at. Not sure about Viscanti. They have excellent advantages. They need not dominate in EVERY area. There are so many buffs in the game, I just don't see the urgency in such a change. Elfen Lords are balanced. Just..standard. We have no real 'edge'. No , balance/eq recov bonuses, no resistances to any types of elemental damage, no resistances to cutting/blunt, which is important to warriors. It's not up to me though. Many of the fighters in the Serenguard aren't even Elfen Lord. Speed is important in lusternian combat now. Everyone's leaning towards that. Looking for that edge. You'll suffer penalties if you want to go for an extremely strong race, or a race with faster eq, and other various advantages.
Daevos2005-10-01 19:31:15
Yes, yes Elfen Lords obviously suffer penalties for all their advantages. Trying to downplay their strength is just folly in my opinion. They are bar none the best warrior race.
I bet I could cause some serious havoc as a Moon Elfen Lord with High Magic. To elaborate my stats at all times would be:
Strength: 19 Dexterity: 16 Constitution: 15 Intelligence: 14 Charisma: 13 Size: 13
With Netzach, Weathering, Bear, Strength, Drawdown, and Geburah
My primary weapon stats would be:
Damage: 370 Precision: 363 Speed: 175
Damage: 238 Precision: 537 Speed: 162
With Drawdown
That skill would also give me significant protection against damage.

RP.
It's the same reason Daevos has stayed a sub-standard race: because it makes sense for the leader of Magnagora to be viscanti, the most common race within.
