How'd you know?

There's already a Jester class in Achaea, which has skills surprisingly close to that. You can ride around on balloon mounts, juggle objects, ect.

All I can say is... NO. If we wind up with an archetype that uses the performance pool, I don't think I would want it to be anything remotely like the Jesters. It's like a defamation of Lusternia's character. If anything, make it a Ninja Bard. I could live with that a little longer than a Jester-clone.

You know, I actualy would like for someone to be able to carve a doll in my likeness. I actualy had one made of me when I was in Achaea (I kept the doll, of course, and the Jester was trusted ).

Of course, no doll powers please. Still, a doll with the same description as myself.. that'd be so cute!

For some reason, I can suddenly imagine plushies. Everywhere.

This is something I disslike, any time anything new comes up all the players get on here and try to change something or add some so it's more like Achaea...

Please don't change Lusternia into Achaea, just because players are constantly citing "well in achaea it's like this, so It should be like this over here" Don't you think that... maybe the gods know what it's like over in the over IRE games?

As for the 4th Archtype I think I remember somewhere that they already know/knew what they were going for, as Estarra said something to the effect that "we are only halfway done with the origonal Idea for Lusternia" which to me means another archtype, more zones/area/skills/fixes...

Summary, they already know what the 4th one will be, so this topic should be more speculation that "please give us this"


As for me, I really don't know what the 4th archtype will be, I look at Lusternia and think "wow this is perfect" and then something else pops up that I like.

We have some ideas.

But you never know, if there's something particularly amazing (that doesn't include vodun, this means you, Nyla and Gregori!) we might take the general idea for a future archetype/guild!

It's in Achaea. Anything associated with Achaea is bad.

I would actually prefer a few guilds that are not associated with cities, or are free to choose their own city as members. Something akin to Monks in the Monastery or some form of free-roaming bard...and then they could allow their members to pick a city to join. I sometimes get bored having to deal with city crap, and then listening to the same city crap on my guild channel. I'd like a little variety, but plain rogues are just dead without power on a consistent basis. With what you put forth in another archetype for the cities, you could bring out 3-4 rogue type guilds that are freewheeling as far as membership. Could range from Barbarians to Warlocks (wild mages)... I also like the ideas posted about bards/jesters though not of the Achaean Variety, preferring something new. With the advent and initiation of library, this game has the possibility of really becoming the shining example of culture in IRE. A few classes totally based on boosting that culture could prove worthwhile, as long as they had minimum to good combat and bashing skills as well. Hell, I'd go for a culture based guild at this point.

I wouldn't mind a Witchdoctor/Medicine Man type archetype.

The thing with that is Lusternia is based on the Nexi. And that would be introducing people not bonded with one.

Non-affiliated power moves would balance that, and if your trans move was dependant on which Nexii you were connected to.

The new archetype should be like.... bears... that shoot laser beams out of their eyes.

They have to have be able to shoot fireballs out of their arses when they hit 25 size too, which is a master ability to go size 25, which brings defensive bonuses.

I thought that is what the Druids are meant to be?

Oh... and no ninjas - we have Pureblade and we more or less have samurai - we do not need ninjas.
