I don't know what the admins have been doing to advertise Lusternia, but damn keep it up. The novice influx is amazing.

Actually, IRE is advertising in general. A few different webcomics, the like.

*Laughs* The novice influx is INSANE!! The novice who list is like two and a half pages long at peak hours and at least a page long at slow hours!

There's a ton of idiots, but as long as we can pluck a few diamonds from the rough it will be worth it.

This confirms my theory about the admins; they are masochists.

The influx has been pretty crazy, I'm glad we took all those new Guides because some of the other IRE admins have mentioned their own Guides were floundering under the weight of all the newbies.

They didn't want me as a guide apparently.

Or me. Though even -I- understand that, looking at my past...or my applictation. *cough*

Mine was written quite professionally.

Mine was thrown together 5 minutes before I left work, but still. I'm freakin nice, I volunteer with places and help people! LET ME GUIDE!

Hell, I'd come back just to be a Guide, but they didn't want me either. *shrug*

If I hadn't been busy sorting real life stuff, and forgotten to send my app in.

If you were not accepted as a guide during this round, you are free to apply again, come the next request from the Moirae asking for them. (As for ex-guides that want to be considered for being reinstated...well, it couldn't hurt to message the Moirae and let Them know. Good ex-guides have a great chance of being picked, when more guides are needed.

However, don't expect your application to be taken very seriously if you have not met the following:

The standard requirements (such as time played).

If it seems you would not have the time, or patience for dealing with newbies (if you play 5 hours a week, you won't want to spend most of that as a guide) (Being prone to annoyance from repetitive questions, or a general sense of being arrogant or mean, that makes the newbies feel like crap and not want to return)

Or if it seems you have no grasp on policy, yourself. (Making newbies to harass the guides, for example.)

Otherwise, good luck with your applications.
