Just found this comment by Gwylifar in an earlier thread, on the subject of using tags to format. Is it true?

Yep. You'll probably have tags all over. Even if you do it without tags in MS Works/Office Word it translates to regular text. Can't import pics/symbols either I don't think.

Is there any way that a work can be re-submitted with correct formatting then, if this is true?
I kind of needed the italics and bold in there to make it coherent.
Or at least a submission without the bogus html tags I so studiously added?
