Something I think would be very useful and fun to see would be Banishment, whereby you could set a temporary enemy status on individuals instead of the regular one.
The syntax would be:
city/commune banish nokraenom for 12 months for public displays of nudity
It would work like a normal enemy status at that point, except in your status it would appear thus:
The reason for this is really a clerical one, because it often becomes problematic to deal with all the paperwork behind a large number of enemy statuses, particularly with novices and other people who aren't likely to log in again or regularly and end up flooding the enemy list.
Also, if a banished person attacked and killed an NPC loyal to the city/commune then the banishment status should change into a regular enemy status, so it cannot be used to cheaply avoid the repercussions of an earned status.

It would also be nice if you could like, alter existing enemies to this. And it would tell you how long they have to go. And you could alter the time.
Soll2005-10-01 13:33:04
Yeah. Adding time to the Banishment would be good.

I like this idea.

What if you'd had to pay a fine after those 15 months though to get unenemied?
Soll2005-10-01 17:47:00
City Banish for months with fee.
Pay Banishment for
The person could maybe mail the gold to the city? A new syntax, maybe? 'Pay Banishment for' at a bank, which would then donate the gold to the appropriate city, and remove the gold fee. If the months are done, the enemying is removed. If the months aren't done, it just removes the gold fee so that after the time is done, the enemying is removed. Complicated...

Normal enemy them and remember the time and fine.

Or change the law so it's "5 months enemy starting AFTER fine is payed".
