So, I just got hit by a statue. Ten levels underground. I can only guess what afflictions I actually have, because of Hallucinations. Stupidity I think, paralysis for sure. Fun.
Can we like, get statues set up so they won't hit people who're underground? Just a thought.
Even more fun! It turns out I can drink allheale to cure things, but I can't, oh, say, compose, so I'm constantly running around in a blind panic...causing me to get hit by the statue again.

It's been like this for a while - I've bugged it before. Are you still underground?
Unknown2005-10-01 19:17:55
Yeah he is.
Can't be summoned up either :/

Where? Room name.
Vix2005-10-01 19:23:07
If you dig him up he'll appear in enemy territory by the sound of it.
Unknown2005-10-01 19:24:09
First room of estelbar.
With 18 bloody guards there.

The only reason I did not get someone to gust/tackle him out of the room was that, well, he was obviously trying to sneak into Estelbar to steal furrikin. This was compounded by the fact that he dropped four chokeberries.
However, I did hand his body over to Mell for immolation.
Sorry Ixchi. At least you're not sitting there forever.

Sure, whatever. I mean, I only died in enemy territory because of a bug. Why should I be mad about that, right?
Fuck this. I'm logging off for a while, just been too much crap lately.

Ah, apologies for having the decency to dig you up. You shouldn't have been burrowing into Estelbar, now should you have been?
Jeez, here I was thinking, "God, I'd hate to be stuck that far down, and from a statue. It's happened to me before! Although I wasn't in enemy territory - Magnagora put up a statue in the middle of a highway. No hard feelings though!" Had there not been guards, I would have indeed helped you heal up and get out.
Oh well. Honestly? I don't care. So much for doing good deeds, eh?

I don't consider it a "good deed" when I'm dug up into guards, when I was only blocked because of a bug, and when my situation was found out using OOC information in the first place.
Am I happy to be out? Sure. Does that happiness override the fact that I died in enemy territory because of a bug?
A 'good deed' would have been to unenemy me for two seconds when I was dug up, so I could be moved out. Or at the very least, to put every reasonable effort into knocking me out of the room once I was up, before the guards killed me, instead of just standing there and watching me die.
Maybe I'm just crazy that way. Me and my silly theories about not letting people die to bugs, if I can avoid it. So crazy!

Couldn't you issue yourself? Or.. something?
Unknown2005-10-01 19:46:20
Not that it's really much of my business, but I think walking into enemy territory is generally asking to be killed, unless by chance you get out alive while fufilling your purpose. Whether it's a bug or not doesn't really change the fact that being in enemy territory, you're prone to dying

Ah, well, as a druid, my methods of knocking you out of the room ARE fairly limited. Have you ever tried digging with a shovel? Even with Faeling balance, you were dead before I could move again.
If I could unenemy, I'd have considered it.
You're right, you're a crazy one! Shouldn't be burrowing into Estelbar.

And if I had died because I burrowed up into guards, or a group of waiting Serens in the fields, I'd have said, "Ah piss," grumbled a bit, and accepted it as just one of those days.
However, this was not simply a case of someone spotting me going in, or me burrowing up into guards I didn't know were there.
This was a case of me being hit by a statue 10 levels underground. And then, when I start curing the afflictions, the statue hits me -again- because I'm running around in a panic constantly. So, I complain about it on the boards a bit, while pondering how to get out of this, only to suddenly find myself dug up into guards based on the information I posted on the boards, and that -no- attempt was made to let me live when it was -clearly- a bug.
I'm not going to cry "bug abuse," I'm not going to issue him, he was trying to do a good deed, but I'm still going to be pissed off that they didn't have the decency to let me off with a warning considering they apparently had no clue I was there until I posted on the forums. Since I was brought up based on OOC information, they could've been OOC on the subject two seconds longer so I didn't lose 40% experience.
Unknown2005-10-01 20:13:14
You can panic underground? That sounds like bug enough. o.O
Ixchilgal2005-10-01 20:16:07
You can't compose, either. Or focus body. Because thinking about moving is stopped by being burried in a couple tons of dirt.
But -actually- moving and drinking a vial of allheale is just kosher.
