Alright, you tell us how we're going to defend against flow, when nothing stops bringing in a whole army, or against wisp, when anyone can flow in with a friend following him to instantly pick up the monolith to allow wisp immediately, and there's nothing we can do about it.
Waste all our gold and comms on flamed monoliths, still leaving the problem of armies being brought in from the Moonhart instantly to the raider's room, untouched?
Or aren't you going to tell us, because you don't want to give the enemy ideas.

GEOCAST FORCETAINT Or. ATTACH FLAME TO MONOLITH;DROP MONOLITH. But the former is exactly what Gregori said repeatedly.

Can't you just get someone to taint the room before you start attacking denizens so no one can flow there? I'm not really involved in combat.. so I could be missing a point

QUOTE(Gregori @ Oct 6 2005, 01:12 AM)
I seriously can't believe how one sided that statement is. If you are going to say well you need a mage to demesne summon, you can't turn around and say well you don't need a druid to wisp. Because you do need a druid, since you need the druid to have made forest, the fact that forest remains isn't an argument worth anything, and only shows lack of forethought in raiding.
Bob says "hey let's go raid!"
Jim says "ok but they have forest there? What do we do about it?"
Bob says "Well we could ask Tom to come remove the forest for us so they can't wisp us, or flow to us."
Jim says "Tom isn't here right now, though."
Bob says "Well let's raid anyways, I mean we can always cry on the forums about how stupid we are for raiding a village that we knew they could easily defend, afterwards."
Serously, drop the wisp argument already. Trying to justify your own case, by telling us how to defend against summons, yet negating your own defense by not utilising it just makes you look sad.

That would require a geomancer. And they don't want to have to utilize all of their venues! Warriors should be able to counter-act wiccan abilities! OMGWTFBBQOVERPOWEREDNERRFNERF!!
Gregori2005-10-06 06:50:57
OMG YoLF... You gave away our hidden secrets! Now they will know what to do to stop us! Fie on you! Fie I say!
Ashteru2005-10-06 06:51:01
Actually...you know, I like the idea of you using monoliths and flamesigils to raid....I hope you all know who's the enchanter of your trust. With really cheap prices...really!
EDIT: I am not that greedy....really....*shifty*

Lets just take all the magical travel away and make it cost 1 power to walk from room to room.

If there isn't a point, I can hardly miss it.
And to the former, we need geomancers to raid, yet you don't need druids to raid? Not to mention it can't be used on Faethorn. Flow and wisp have always been the reasons Serenwilde barely ever gets raided.
Kiarlea2005-10-06 07:05:17

Who are you? What would you even know about this? Some random newbie?
Unknown2005-10-06 07:07:41
I didn't think we can forest Earth, either, but that might be some missinformation.
And how do we not need Druids to raid? You've fought against Geo's, you try running through their Demesne and see how easy it is to raid a village at the same time.

You can't drop flamed monolith sigils in Faethorn? The ground is suddenly made of some substance that eats monolith sigils? I mean that is the arguement I always see used against lich complainers "Just use flamed eye sigils. A little planning pays off."

Yeah, I'm that little jeweller who needs a hammer.
But, of course, because THORGAL doesn't know my name, my opinions are therefore null and void.
