Back to Common Grounds.

I understand that you'd rather keep Flow as it is, and leave the cities with nothing the like, but that is called bias, and bias won't help us balance. Like I said, this wouldn't be an issue if Flow didn't practically prevent any kind of assault on your territory. Just ask Celest how easy they are raided compared to Serenwilde!
Sylphas2005-10-16 17:28:22
You defend just fine, and attack even better. Yes, Flow makes us amazingly good at getting around, yes it has a huge impact. Those healing skills, though, have a more subtle impact, but are -incredibly- useful. I've got Waxing again now, and it's one of my favorite and most used skills.

I'd be entirely willing to give you guys a Flow equivalent for a Puella equivalent, knowing full well you got more out of the deal, in combat, simply for sheer utility we'd gain.
Thorgal2005-10-16 17:29:31
I'd happily abide to that suggestion, you can have Puella when we get Flow. smile.gif

Jesus momma, how old are you? Does puella, laetitia or puer have enormous impacts on organizational defence or offense?

Heh, the sign of a lost argument.

Honestly, your whining about how everyone else has it so much harder than you is getting rather tiresome. After raiding Serenwilde quite successfully multiple times, WITHOUT AN ARMY OF NEWBIES FLOWING AT YOU, can't you just make an intelligent argument for how you would like to reevaluate Via without the extra rubbish?

I don't know where your crusade against forest-based organizations started, but just try to use reason instead of bitter tirades.

You want the cities to be given a flow-equivalent, and you suggest Via might as well be changed to suit that purpose. Good for you.

The changes that remain include changes to abilities that have already been changed. Does anyone actually use Via?

Via is almost never used, ever.

Yes, I'm glad you finally understand, that wasn't so complicated was it?

We'd all still be hungry.

I'm quite sure Celest would be happy if they could finally defend their territory a little better as well, it's stupidly easy to raid.
Unknown2005-10-16 18:11:54
What territory?
Thorgal2005-10-16 18:19:22
Celest, by the time they even arrive at their own gates, their guards are already dead. With Via working like Flow, they could at least lead a group to the raiders before it's too late, instead of after.

Unless they change the environment of the room before the start to attack the guards which negates flow
Sylphas2005-10-16 19:14:33
Er... nevermind. unsure.gif

Someone used it once (few weeks ago) when we had to meet to trade. Asked me to step on the highway, I was a bit surprised cause I forgot about the skill.

Via doesn't have any combat movement value. Considering it needs someone on the highway, it's only a little more convenient to meet, without using power for teleport.
Unknown2005-10-16 19:54:43
Amaru uses it to jump people on the highways.

woah what a great way to waste time, i was reading through this and it made me laugh alot.

i don't quite understand why some people want flow nerfed when there were the posts about how to prevent it (you need a mage to prevent it, we need a druid to set it up *shrugs*)

also if celest was REALLY nice to serenwilde perhaps the circle might allow them to create some rifts to their territory (though i doubt it would happen)

Somehow, I imagine angry rioters running through the Basin shouting "Alliance!" just like the old days
Saran2005-10-16 21:20:02
yah... well... atleast they have easier access to astral. (if anyone has some pesky credits just sitting around i'm more than happy to take them off you)

anyway i don't think that downgrading flow is the answer. and isn't via just for guardians anyway? perhaps a slight upgrade and give mages a flow like ability for their element only? sorry i don't know too much about the city skills
Unknown2005-10-16 23:59:06
You know, I knew this guy once and he had the strangest shirt I've ever seen. It was green and had giant purple polkadots with smily faces on the inside. I'm pretty sure the buttons on the shirt were about 4 inches wide, too, and kinda winked at me when I got too close.

Translation: Blah blah pointless banter.
Terenas2005-10-17 01:32:26
The change to wisp and flow is that now you can wisp and flow from natural forest to natural forest as well as tained forest to tained forest. That means for example, Narsrim can wisp Ixion, who happens to be standing on tainted forest, if Narsrim is also standind on tainted forest. This was not doable before, hence there was a need for the announce post. Do test the skills to their fullest extent before complaining.
