You say that's like it's a desirable change. Now any Moondancer can walk into Glomdoring, and wisp anyone not on a monolith within that forest to them. They can also take one step into Glomdoring or into a infested location and then flow jump anyone in Glomdoring. And then still utilize spores to escape easily. I guess though it wouldn't matter so much if flow and wisp weren't so powerful.

Ethelon wanted this change, I believe. If there are bad things that stem from it, it was all his fault

And can't Glomdoring do the same thing?
Munsia2005-10-17 01:52:35
Yay flow and wisp 'were' changed
of course everyone already knows this. I'm just slow

I honestly think the change sucks for druids. In the past, a Hartstone/Blacktalondidn't need to be concerned about being summoned in his/her OWN demesne. That poofed. Welcome to hell.

They can do exactly the same to us. Just because we happen to be generally stronger than the Glomdoring at the moment is no reason to vilify us in particular.
Daevos2005-10-17 02:03:28
Was using the Moondancers as a example, since some of them are more likely to do it. But my point is that it shouldn't be possible not that it shouldn't be possible by Moondancers. That was also just one example, there are other ways that this change can harm the balance of the game if wisp/flow stay in their current form. For a example wisp traps in villages, since druid demesnes are again liabilities as well as assets. A wiccan can flame a monolith and create a wisp trap, specifically to pin down the druid who owns the demesne. Any time they move within their own demesne, they will run the risk of being wisped.

Just because both Seren and Glom can do it doesnt make it any less crappy.. Seriously.... If it was Ethelon he needs to be beat with the WTF stick

And the wisper will have no demesne and people can swarm into this person and kill them. Look at the whole picture. One wisper cannot take on an entire team. If Glomdoring has that small of numbers then I highly doubt they will even have a demesne that can stay up then

I know that. From first impressions, I don't like the change either, but we'll see how it plays out and we can rant about it then .

I agree. In some ways, this makes wisp traps less viable - but remember, we don't balance skills in "group combat." One-on-one, this blows for a druid.
Daevos2005-10-17 02:08:38
I never said the wisper was alone. You need to take your own advice and look at the whole picture as well as any possible variations. What's the stop a large force from walking into a demesne, wisping the druid who owns it, then breaking the demesne while they are down. It would have been much harder to break that demesne if they had been unable to quickly pull the druid to them and kill them.

Why? Fear the squirrels, vines, and treelife? That's like all that hits with protection scroll up.

See you really should just stop. You dont have flow obviously then so you dont know the power of it. Wisping a druid as long as they have an automatic flow target then can escape before you can kill them if they are a decent healer. Remember we can flow through certain circumstances
