My point was it sucks for druids.. A wiccan can summon us in our own demesne but we cant even summon people?
206837
There's always 'summon' in planar. . .But meh.
Nyla2005-10-17 02:28:37
I would like to request that the presence of my totem animal stops wisp in my native forest

Now mages can summon each other in each others demesnes.. right?
206838
No. The mage has to actually own the demesne to use demesne summon in it. So as I said before, If you kill the demesne owner (mage) you kill the summoner.

Daevos- And then still utilize spores to escape easily.
Again, if they weren't on a monolith, and if spores work. (we still arn't sure what can stop them in that 1-2 seconds. does damage stop them? afflictions? we arn't sure, no ones tested you're all on here complaining.

Oooo spores.. another wiccan thing
Saran2005-10-17 04:11:24
yeah but can't anyone use them regardless of skill or have they been nerfed?
Unknown2005-10-17 04:15:36
Hmm, this seems a painful change for druids and Glomdoring especially. But the previous posters are right in that we should wait and see how it goes.
Edit: Actually, does this mean novice Gloomfolk can flow in their own forest now?

Ahh, I was wrong then.. instead of a downgrade in favour of balance, Flow and Wisp got an UPgrade! Yes, that definitely makes more sense than no change at all, luckily there's Kegs and Cubes to gargle this down with.
Shorlen2005-10-17 06:32:14
The change to flow and wisp:
HORRIBLE IDEA. Weeviling novices are now flow targets for raiders. People concocting potions in the Alembic are now flow targets for raiders. People shopping? Flow targets for raiders. There is NO way to protect against this, unless both communes are kept melded at all times. Not even looking at the combat imbalances, this makes normal life a lot more annoying for the average Commune player.

I can only hope it's done to balance the skills after they get massively downgraded in the next announce, because I can't seriously imagine any admin would actually leave them as they are now.

I wouldn't call it a flatout upgrade. I can see big disadvantages along with advantages in certain situations (not that either affect the cities at all).
Unknown2005-10-17 06:49:42
I wouldn't call it an upgrade either. I prefer the previous way it worked.
Thorgal2005-10-17 06:58:44
A group of Serenwilders sits at the border of Glomdoring, puts down a monolith and some walls, wisping and killing any Glomdorian that dares to set foot off a monolith in his own fricking territory, or Flow your army to anyone that steps away from guards.
Obviously Glomdoring could do the same, if they had the numbers, which they don't. But now no forestal is safe in his own home ever again, since they all have to huddle up at the Ravenwood for protection of guards and monoliths, rediculous.
The situation has become as retarded for Glomdoring like in the times of worldwide Wisp and all-forest Flow. Not an upgrade? Don't make me laugh.
The only balancing changes I can imagine the admin can make, are to have shield stop Wisp, and monoliths stop Flow. So they can at least be somewhat secure when walking from the Ravenwood to the Bank or their shops. Otherwise Serenwilde will just terrorize them like in the beginning.

Actually you should totally drop the part of Glomdoring getting hurt from this because Viravain will kill anyone who does it
Narsrim2005-10-17 07:14:33
I don't like it. They can change it back for all I care.

Because of course only Serenwilde has these skills. Seriously, you talk about biases, this is incredibly blatant on your part. We have more people, we have better organization, this is true. However, YOU CAN'T BALANCE AROUND THAT. If you could, Magnagora would currently have absolutely zero skills, because they have some amazing people.
This easily puts Flow and Wisp back into the stupidly powerful category, but it's not because Glomdoring can be screwed by it, since Serenwilde can be hit just as easily, if they try. Hell, you just need one Shadowdancer and/or Blacktalon, and they can just use Magnagora to make up the rest, like they often do.
Thorgal2005-10-17 08:42:24
Can't you just STFU with your retarded assumptions and read everything instead of only tiny parts?
And as Narsrim and Munsia are happily proving at this moment, raiding Glomdoring, the Flow and Wisp change IS and upgrade, and a massive one at that.

Yep, an upgrade for Glomdoring too. They also have those same skills. It's not our fault they don't have Narsrim and Munsia, you can't balance the playerbase itself.
And no, I won't STFU until you do. I pick small parts because you'll make sense for a bit, then say something retarded in the middle, and it irks me to no end.
