Your total lack of clue about anything practical, irks me a lot more, trust me.

The skills themselves got an Upgrade, the Communes got a Big defence decrease, look at it whatever way you will.

Can't you just STFU with your retarded assumptions and read everything instead of only tiny parts?
And as Narsrim and Munsia are happily proving at this moment, raiding Glomdoring, the Flow and Wisp change IS and upgrade, and a massive one at that.

You say that's like it's a desirable change. Now any Moondancer can walk into Glomdoring, and wisp anyone not on a monolith within that forest to them. They can also take one step into Glomdoring or into a infested location and then flow jump anyone in Glomdoring. And then still utilize spores to escape easily. I guess though it wouldn't matter so much if flow and wisp weren't so powerful.

I don't like this change either at all for various reasons others have mentioned. My complain comment was because I irked with the fact so many people are complaining about changes that they have no idea took place and didn't bother to read the announce post closely.

Now Shayle gets to be paranoid wherever she's standing! Just when you think home is a safe place to be...
I hate this change...so much....I can barely stand it.
Xavius2005-10-18 02:05:31
Bad, bad, bad idea for flow.
I can no longer set up demesnes in neutral territory to fight. They've just become a security risk. Should I set up patrols in all forested areas in the Basin now? A Seren can stand in some randomly forested spot in the mountains and flow a huge group in to a trade workshop, a store, a novice bashing weevils. Can I still have novices hunt crow shadows without worrying about the security risk? Hey, guys, don't stand ANYWHERE in Glomdoring where there aren't guards, or you'll let our enemies in. Nevermind that there's already 400 entrances into our forests, but now we need to be able to defend against entrance in every single room? Bad!

I vote we change it back. Who is with me? I liked Seren is pure->pure only and Glom is infest->infest only.
Vix2005-10-18 02:09:40
Yes. Just make it so you have to be affiliated with Glom to use tainted forests so the novices can flow.

They're everywhere, man!
Xavius2005-10-18 02:54:48
And, as has just been proven, they ARE everywhere.
Did this new announce say anything about wisp being more than local area now? I'm a little too peeved to go read it.

Please change Flow and Wisp back to how they were, this is utter with how we've been getting raided repeatedly now thanks to it.
Unknown2005-10-18 02:57:01
Why was it changed in the first place?
Xavius2005-10-18 02:57:46
K, I actually did go read it. Wisp is more than local area. Can we at least not have wisp work like summon and get stopped by the summoning shields?
Narsrim2005-10-18 02:59:27
I don't see why wisp needs another restriction. Unless demesne summon gets stopped by shield, wisp sure as hell shouldn't give it is already stopped by a monolith, which I cannot possibly destroy if flamed.

Not shield like the novice skill shield, shield like that thing that keeps you (or used to keep you) from summoning enemies or commune members into or out of the territory.

Wisp is -just- local area. That shield only stops non-local summons. If I'm in Glomdoring, I could summon you to me from anywhere in Glomdoring with Planar summon.
