Back to Common Grounds.

yes, sprinting along the highways wouldn't work at all, in fact the only places I ever sprint are up and down avechna's peak with pilgrims, or in faethorn/wilde(getting from mother to the tower or back again)

Hmmm... don't forestals have leap as well as tumble? A single warrior wouldn't give too much trouble. All you need is one person to get through, then the others can port in, instead of having 198723109823 people stuck on the highway, getting lost, bumping into cows or getting ambushed. That's what we usually do, anyhow. Also, most villages have more than one entrance.

You could also work hand in hand with Celest and have some of them do their tarot stuffs to the village, then port to them. It'll take a wee bit longer than usual, but faster than a whole boatload of people walking.

Hrm, I can think of Estelbar, Rockholm, Southgard, Shantmark, Paavik from the top of my head. So around half (?) of all villages in the game have one entrance. And more than the half (?) of Serens villages have only one entrance.
Talking about physical entrances there, not rifts etc.
Sylphas2005-10-23 09:39:35
Estelbar doesn't. Delport doesn't. Angkrag/Rockholm/Southgard don't. Paavik and Shanthmark don't that I know of. Acknor and Stewartsville do. Dairuchi has like 6.

And no, we can only wish we had tumble. Leap we have.

Delport has, if you include the dock at the inner sea.
Sylphas2005-10-23 09:48:15
Oh, right. And it has the one way exit to the river (pretty sure it's one way).
Gregori2005-10-23 10:00:38
3 Villages out of 10 have more than one entrance.

Stewartsville, Delport, and Dairuchi.
Ashteru2005-10-23 10:01:48
Actually, Acknor has a second entrance too.
Gregori2005-10-23 10:03:47
Right, I forgot the swamps. Haven't been there in a long time. So 4 villages of 10.
Jadryga2005-10-23 10:05:11
Rifts?

You could always have a painting in the one urban room in Serenwilde that leads to a spot in Celest with room for more paintings to villages, so that would solve the painting-urban thing somewhat.

Work with thy allies!
Gregori2005-10-23 10:06:39
That would require Serenwilde to have urban rooms. We are not a city.

Hm, someone said Serenwilde has 1 urban room. Somewhere in this thread, actually, but I can't remember who.
Jadryga2005-10-23 10:07:34
Didn't someone say that Serenwilde has ONE?

Yeah but...it's painfully high....
Jadryga2005-10-23 10:27:42
50% Expert, if I remember right... that isn't very high, I thought... ermm.gif
Ashteru2005-10-23 10:29:01
that are 600 lesson around, am I right? that's pretty painfull... unsure.gif
Sylphas2005-10-23 10:32:55
Sounded like you implied Serens had it as a seperate skill.

Anyway, the paintings to Celest thing might work mechanically (not sure if we do have an urban room), but politically, I'm extraordinarily against. They are NOT our allies, unless things have seriously changed since I sat on the council. I believe our last vague, sweeping, common sense ally proposal was rejected.
Unknown2005-10-23 10:43:01
Maybe that will change now that it's better for a Druid to be in a Mage's demesne than in a Druid one?

One artisanal/bardic runner-up, two artisanal/bardic merits or half an artisanal/bardic win. More people should join those things biggrin.gif
