So I was having fun in Shallach earlier and making a demesne. Shallach is enemy territory for me.
Gerald, who has suspect on me, comes in and starts breaking my demesne:
Your demesne is 8 rooms in size and is centered at roasting pit.

Gerald enters your demesne. (There's no message for breaking the demesne, but he was the only one walking in and I did see him breaking it and making his own demesne.)
Your demesne is 7 rooms in size and is centered at roasting pit.

aquacast summon gerald
Avechna whispers in your mind a warning, and you stay your hand.
WTF?
So, wait.
Gerald has suspect on me... but he can simply walk in and break my demesne, and I can't touch him or I get avengered?
That's just wrong. I really, really hope this is just a bug and that it will be fixed. Because otherwise, how can you expect anyone to put up a fight in enemy territory?

I agree. This should be changed. Breaking a demesne should remove suspect just like how breaking a demesne can give you vengeance.

thats more annoying in the seas. If I have suspect and since I'm enemied, I cant attack while people are beating on me. Well I just couped by maintaining 0 suspects.
Shamarah2005-10-03 21:44:45
It really does need to be changed. Xenthos just tackled me out of the shrine room about 10 times in a row and I couldn't hit back because of suspect.
Xenthos2005-10-03 22:07:44
Tackle doesn't seem to do it. If I had started jabbing you it'd have gone though (which I *have* done multiple times, that's why you keep getting to attack me again.)
I don't know if the tackle stuff should be changed, it's more a nuisance than an actual attack.

There's not a really question of whether its an attack or not. If you have to declare someone, its aggressive.
Malicia2005-10-03 22:59:13
Tackle is an attack.
Acrune2005-10-03 23:09:51
If twirling my staff is agressive (breaks shield or reflections, cant do it graced or peaced) then tackle is agressive
Shayle2005-10-04 00:14:26
Hmm. Malicia was swinging away at me in Shallach and not losing suspect, not until she attacked me in Southgard.
Narsrim2005-10-04 01:04:06
I moaned about this a lot and it utterly disturbs me. If you have suspect on someone in enemy territory, they can rape you and you can't touch them back. It makes raiding the Sea of Despair and flippin nightmare.

We had this problem in Serenwilde yesterday with Ceres. It's really annoying.
Laysus2005-10-04 12:28:05
Here's the problem we had in SW with Ceres...
I flowed to her, she was in a serenwilde room, I attacked her because she was in enemy territory, and it seemed to count as me declaring her because when the fight moved to the highway through the Serenwilde, noone could defend me even though it was her in enemy territory when I attacked her.
It should count as an auto-declare when you enter enemy territory, like with shrine defiles
