Well, first we get to see the new use of Sap on the ground with no admin ever responding to if it's a misweave or not... now Dreamweavers can attack you within the trees... Now, Elryn and Thaemorn did stop once I bitched about it, since I was dead pretty much, so this is not against them, but I would like to know if this is a misweave or not...

As for attacking the trees. We can't get up by ourselves, unless we follow someone into them, which doesn't seem unreasonable to me, nor has it ever been said otherwise.

But yeah, if it is a bug, clarification would be appreciated.

I have a -possible- explaination:

I've always been able to see dreamweavers on the ground when I was in a tree with indigo.

In that case, they're getting around not being able to get in trees with following. Just like manses!

Edit: I'd like to add that if a dreamweaver cannot get into the trees in deamform themselves, walking behind someone should not make them gain magical powers suddenly.

Ahhhh, forgot you couldn't hear..I sent you 4 tells asking you to stop since I'm under the impression it has to be a bug. It is a problem with following considering we can't just lose you by normal means... which means if you are following me, which works even while you have no equilibrium (doesn't make sense) and you spook my mount, the only option I have is using a broom to fly and wait till you run out of willpower... I only showed a small part, but when both you and Elryn were hitting me in the trees in Ethereal, I would have died if not for Metawake being on... which most people don't have.

I know this isn't important, but you were only attacked by one person in the trees. I didn't link to you - as a Mugwump your attacks are incredibly powerful, and I wouldn't have been able to stay with you without dying.

I think Sap, Dreamweaving, etc all fall in line with the elevations issue.

I think its stupid that you can climb up in a tree and evade a dream body... you'd think it could float or something... dunno about this or not, but if it is a bug, I protest.

Well, it's annoying that dreamweaving is so incredibly easy to avoid... I'd like to see some other way of blocking the attacks.

If there were competent balcktalon in Glomdoring who took dreamweaving and did to your commune what Thaemorn and Elryn do to ours, you would change your view right away. This ALWAYS seems to be the damn problem with people... the whole "IT'S NOT A PROBLEM UNTIL IT IS USED AGAINST US!!!!"

And Elryn... how many times did I Violet you? If it was Nightkiss, noone would ever live through so many...and it's not like you can sip while in dreambody. Our only defence, climbing trees, also takes us out of most fights and makes us cornered usually, and those that can't climb trees? HALF THE BASIN... what do they do when you can follow them? Me being forced to hide in a tree because otherwise I'll be afflited to hell or sleeping/insta-killed sounds unfair to us.. there needs to be a way to protect against dreamweavers without having to climb trees.

I can't count the number of times that I've zapped through 21000 willpower and 10-30 power to achieve one thing - making someone run around in circles, eat some kafe and tire them out.

I don't want to discuss it too much - I like the fact that few people know much about the skillset because it's rare that someone takes it, but:
-there are others ways to get away from us and to stay safe from us
-afflicting to hell is an overstatement
-the instant-kill is not easy, and there's no way I could have pulled it off against you.

As for having to climb into trees to avoid dreamweavers taking you out of the fight... Sorry, but I'd be just as worried about having someone else there in person cudgelling or entangling.

It's a shame there aren't more dreamweavers - if there were it might not be such a one-sided thing. But then again, you have Viravain with Her super-Kether..

If you are following me fresh out of the portals and I go into the trees you come up with me, even though you don't have the skill. Why would this be different for someone just because they are in dreamform?

A Dreamweaver links to your soul, not just follows your body.



Where your soul goes, the dreambody goes, and yet there is as Thaemorn said other ways to avoid/escape them.

Hell, people follow you if you burrow, let alone climb trees. Following is odd like that.

How many cudgels do you think Ixion could live through? I'm tanky as a dreambody, thanks to my ego, and the various regenerations we can gain.

And yet, how many times did you Violet me without forcing me to run away and recover? Usually, just over one equilibrium recovery with your violeting takes me below 1/2 health, even with 5.5k.

As I said, I would like to see a method of ignoring dreambody attacks, just not something as stupid as climbing trees. I thought the deep meditation was a good idea.
