Unfortunately Glom/Seren alliance ain't in the cards. It could have been if They chose to handle the Fae differently, but there is to many diametricly opposed idealogies for an alliance to happen. As it is we have a serious issue with trying to keep an unsteady peace and not all out warfare.

Well you're both anti-city though. (In theory at least looking at the current Glom rolleyes.gif )

Mag and Celest don't have anything in common which is sad. Seren-Celest and Mag-Glom are the obvious alliances, but I'd like to see some others too really. It's about time -something- changes.

This time I am really done. If Celest's players feel screwed over and are upset, then I apologize. And if you're upset by it Malicia, I am sorry that is as well. My entire attempt in this thread was to shed some light on what Serenwilde was thinking during the situation. As for ingame, Ibaesha's not going to be feeling remorse for her actions in influencing Southgard. It won't happen. Serenwilde did a good job and she's proud of Serenwilde, period.

Ya but just saying "you both hate cities" isn't enough to forge an alliance. Take the protestants and catholics in Ireland as an obscure example. They both could say "but we both believe in God" and set aside their differences, but fundamentaly their idealogies are different and they stone each other in the streets.

Moondancers = Revere the Fae
Moon = Hate Night
Hartstone = Revere White Hart
White Hart = Hates Crow

Shadowdancers = Enslave the Fae
Night = Hate Moon
BlackTalon = Revere Crow
Crow = Hates White Hart.

This has been rehashed so many times, and yes we can throw away all those beliefs and say "you Spirits can sort it out yourselves" but then what sort of fanatics would we be? *grin*

It's descided, we need more hypocrits sleep.gif

If you really wanted to, I'm sure you could find some common base, maybe not enough for a real alliance but at least keeping the cities from spreading their influence as it hurts Nature as a whole. Unlikely yeah, but I think it would be an interesting twist.

As for Rhayni: In Lusternia there is only one law: the strong one wins, that's what happened period.

I would personally love to see a Commune vs. City alliance. I just don't think at this time with the way things are setup it is feasable.

In regards to White Hart we could have easily made an arrangement of You leave White Hart alone and we leave Crow alone. Being as I was the main person killing Crow routinely I would have settled for that arrangement. However, when they tossed in the enslaving of the Fae, and then the Black Dog saying "Feed me, Seymour. Feed me all night long - That's right, boy! - Go to it, Feed me Seymour. Feed me all night long.Cause if you feed me, Seymour. I can grow up big and strong.", it didn't really help.

ok it was really Cronnacht he said that too... but 10 points if you know where the line is from tongue.gif

I can't really see a Commune Alliance happening, but I am willing to try for one. If the Serenwilde asks nicely. (haha no way in hell that's happening).

Maybe one with Celest. ohmy.gif
Gregori2005-10-08 16:43:00
Ok if nobody recognises those lyrics I am going to feel old and cry. Where is Cronnact or Gwylifar when you need people to recognise obsure things?
Malicia2005-10-08 16:44:58
Ugh, I'm never teaming up with the taint. That's retarded to even suggest.
Daevos2005-10-08 16:47:46
Little shop of horror?
Gregori2005-10-08 16:48:33

Too many posts. wacko.gif

I'm not going to chastise any Serens that influenced Southgard, but I'm sickened by Kalodan's actions and if I find anyone that authorized him to kill the dwarves, it won't be as simple as not adding their name to the favour list.

Yaaay! I have been waiting for some Celest-Seren conflict!

Me too.

Gonna make stuff much more interesting now, though. I've always wanted an all-out free-for-all as far as organizations go - all we need now is for Magnagora to quit being so Glom-protective and start dusting Viravain shrines due to her opposition to Fain. evil.gif

It's a Little Shop! Little Shop of Horror! Little Shop. Steve Martin and Bill Murray in a display of comedic genious. I love the dentist scene.

Not the route my character would have gone but I call BS on not favouring him and any sort of retaliation is BS. Erion pulled the same stunt in Celest with the fae. People may not like what he did but considering the views of Serenwilde's patron and written examples like Farella it should be considered a legitimate course of action. Albeit like I said not one my character would have favoured in this circumstance.
Kaervas2005-10-08 17:39:17
Well I was working on making us anti-Viravain and it was going well until people decided to work on a treaty between Viravain and Fain. I'd have preferred a war to a crappy alliance of convenience, far more interesting.

He actually was only going to kill Gloms, but he got irritated because his mother kept telling Celest to stop influencing, but more and more dwarves kept poppin' up for them. So she started finding dwarves, and he started smooshing. tongue.gif

Call it what you will - Kalodan hates cities. Why? Because his mother hates cities. His mother said repeatedly that Celest would only lose the village to Glomdoring, if we gave it to them - in his mind, that made them no better than the stupid Sicklings. So Kalo smash. He doesn't care about anything, honestly. Sun, Nature, the Serenwilde, and his mother. In his eyes, giving Celest a town we could take was not helping the Wilde, but hurting it.

And, Malicia, you made some quip about Acknor - in fact, right after Southgard, a few people on SEG were talking about taking Acknor. All villages, in fact, except Angkrag.

I told Ibae on AIM, too, I was glad you weren't there, and neither was Nejii - you'ld probably have started demanding we give the village to Celest. tongue.gif I'd hate to see you go, I really <3 you and all. But, like Greggi and Ibae said - you might be just what Celest needs.

I'm honestly getting tired of these people who whine, "Don't kill things!" These are the same people (Syntobis, Diamondais, et al) who try to tell Kalo that Sicklings, while Tainted, should not be killed - that killing is bad, because it's not Kalo's place to decide who lives and who dies. They called it Compassion - which lead to a nasty little spat between Kalo and some other wilders, where Kalo collected a bunch of feathers and refused to put them in the statue, because he didn't want to see a Goddess return who based Her ideals around it. tongue.gif

But then Nejii explained that Isune felt the greatest compassionate act one can have for a Tainted is to smoosh it, and Kalo put 'em in the statue.

Anyway. I'm done explaining Kalodan's actions on a forum - if you want to know why, ask him. You'll get a really descriptive story about honey cakes and short, ugly, stupid wingless things. He already hated dwarves, and if they follow Celest or Glom.. Smoosh. Really simple, IMO. Kaileigh attacked him, a bunch of Serens defended. Kaileigh ran, Kalo chased. Smoosh!
