And as was stated, only Kalodan did it. I'm sure he'd love to give his thoughts on why. As it is, all of Celest's influencing was doing was helping the Taint. They were being foolish. Unless their primary objective against the Taint has changed. Would Celest rather Glomdoring have Southgard? I'm truly curious now.

I was in comand during influencing and it was 3 of us able to influence in first few minutes. Me, Shinza and Kaileigh. And me alone influenced around 7-10 dwarfs in mines in first minutes.
Then after i heard how many influencers Seren have i ordered to stop influencing and start killing Mags and Gloms. And we did it. And when we get 8 people to influence, Mags and Gloms were constantly killed. I ordered to start influenicng again and we were doing pretty well and i asked again to allow us to take it and gor same answer, we have 18 peoples here.
So after trying to convince you all to stop influence for a bit and give us a chance you sad NO.
So i ordered to pull back. Peoples were alredy pissed on Kelodan for killing dwarfs and Kaileigh.
And you gona tell me that Glomdoring would get it before us if you would just help in killing them?

I'm happy to argue this topic with any Celestian ingame as well.

Rauros dude, calm down. Repeat after me, it's only a game.
Serenwilde, no offence, but usually wins things by brute force really. There are some very good combatants, usually the ones you hear about, but they do have the largest player base, and probably the largest amount of influencers and one of the easiest times influencing.
Celest just needs to work on their influencing and teamwork, there's some pretty good fighters in Celest as well, but most of them are too stuck up to work together.

That's not what I was saying at all Rauros. I was saying I can't speak for why he did it, but he can. And as for being your buddy buddy. My character will trust Celest even less after these stupid actions and expecting Serenwilde to HELP Celest hand a village to the Taint. That's what would've happened. We all know it. Stop whining.
201365
The actions of a member of Serenwilde killing denizens just for having an opinion though also looks bad. Both sides need to just come together and be like "Wow.. we up."
Rauros2005-10-08 11:54:44
Who's whining? I'm simply pointing out fact.
Unknown2005-10-08 11:55:32
No, Celest and Seren need a all out war damn it! Fight damn you fight!
Unknown2005-10-08 11:56:35
Ekard, I know you're upset about this but think about it. There is no way that your number of people with the fighters we had would've beat Magnagora and Glomdoring. Even when you had 8 influencers. Serenwilde isn't taking that risk. We've taken it before, numerous times. Celest loses and another one goes to the Taint. We weren't letting it happen AGAIN.
Gregori2005-10-08 11:57:07
Why should we come together at all? Celest has been Serenwilde's red headed step sister for a year. There is no reason we should be constantly helping them. It isn't like we need the limited support they have ever mustered to help us. Back in the day when we were a smaller force yes we needed that help and they had a decent force and gave it to us. That day has been gone for many many months, and Serenwilde has paid that debt off thrice over.

Press the red button...come on, press it....it's RED!
Rauros2005-10-08 12:00:05
I'll take that to mean that Serenwilde does not need any help from Celest. Fair enough. We'll remember that.
Unknown2005-10-08 12:02:55
Well in all reality they dont, they have the largest fighting force within the basin, maybe not the strongest, but the largest. They also work as a team, of which Celest really seems to lack at, there are some good leaders, Shamarah, Ekard and the like. You guys just need more infleuncers.

Bring 'em down! Serenwilde is getting too powerful to be part of an alliance anyway. Team up with Glomdoring to take us out.
Ashteru2005-10-08 12:04:03
Yeah...probably the only reason Celest doesn't get up to his feet again is because they rely on Serenwilde for everything. You should just end this unholy alliance.
Unknown2005-10-08 12:04:20
No i think it'd be more like, Celest vs Serenwilde, Mag n Glom vs everyone, a three way brawl.
Thaemorn2005-10-08 12:08:36
I would've happily killed the dwarves if I'd put it further up my list of things to do.
Thaemorn doesn't care one bit for Celest, or the dwarves. Call it powergaming if you want, but as far as an IC logic goes, Thaemorn holds White Hart and the Wilde greater than all things. He WILL look down on those outside the Wilde as less than equal, and use them to strengthen the Wilde.
There is often blatant flaws in his logic, as some who have been the recipient of his blessings and lectures may well know. White Hart = faith > OOC logical reason. Ya?
Funny thing is though, we get bitched at for being Snuggleville if we care, and "OMG that's not how you should RP" if you don't.
Not only that, but there are a good deal of Serens who don't acknowledge the 'alliance' at all. I've never called for Celestians, but if they are there and fighting on his side, Thaemorn will gladly let them hack into his enemies.
Essentially, this entire problem is IC, but some people seem to be taking that horrible bloody OOC route where real-world logic and diplomacy MUST BE IMPLEMENTED. Dammit, learn to take a stand from an IC perspective, and realise that RL logic != the motives, ideals and diplomacy of our characters.
Props to Xavius for starting a normal thread, making a friendly observation, and not whinging about the ordeal.

Come on Celest, you can take them, The light and the Holy Supernals shalt protect thee and smite thy enemies!
Thaemorn2005-10-08 12:11:05
And yeah, I'd be happy for Seren vs Celest conflict.
Yes, we might end up getting hammered from three sides, but conflict is half the fun in this game, as far as I'm concerned.

I wonder why the weak part of said alliance (Celest) is handling over the strong and hateful of cities part reasons to start raiding them actively too and forget any alliancing.
I mean, you can do two things:
- Get together with Serenwilde before influencing or at the beggining of the year and decide wich villages go to each org (that, if serenwilde likes the terms, as they are still in better condition than Celest). Stick to it (I've read several times of Celest influencing where they shouldn't, same as theoretically Serenwilde did now)
- Don't complain if they try to work to secure yet another village for their own organization. It would be weird if a bunch of cityhaters/cityindiferents did whatever they could so their Comune lost a village and a City was empowered.
- Go to the monastery. Start a two or three years city wide meditation. Calm down. Find a way out of the hole you're into before it finishes filling with water. Don't come near the forums to complaint. Instead, try to do something to turn the tables and be again a decent place for newbies to live.
