QUOTE(Thaemorn @ Oct 8 2005, 07:08 AM)
I would've happily killed the dwarves if I'd put it further up my list of things to do.
Thaemorn doesn't care one bit for Celest, or the dwarves. Call it powergaming if you want, but as far as an IC logic goes, Thaemorn holds White Hart and the Wilde greater than all things. He WILL look down on those outside the Wilde as less than equal, and use them to strengthen the Wilde.
There is often blatant flaws in his logic, as some who have been the recipient of his blessings and lectures may well know. White Hart = faith > OOC logical reason. Ya?
Funny thing is though, we get bitched at for being Snuggleville if we care, and "OMG that's not how you should RP" if you don't.
Not only that, but there are a good deal of Serens who don't acknowledge the 'alliance' at all. I've never called for Celestians, but if they are there and fighting on his side, Thaemorn will gladly let them hack into his enemies.
Essentially, this entire problem is IC, but some people seem to be taking that horrible bloody OOC route where real-world logic and diplomacy MUST BE IMPLEMENTED. Dammit, learn to take a stand from an IC perspective, and realise that RL logic != the motives, ideals and diplomacy of our characters.
Props to Xavius for starting a normal thread, making a friendly observation, and not whinging about the ordeal.

Not killing people just because they disagree with you doesn't make you snuggly. It makes you civil. It just seems weird.
Hey Mr Dwarf I want to protect you, what you think Celest could offer you more? Wrong Answer Mr Dwarf Taste my splinters! Stupid dwarf... Hey little girl... I want to protect you.. Whats that you say ahh Thinking of Glomdoring? Tsk tsk tsk...
Just makes you seem like a brute thug to me. ICLY its harsh but I guess for playing fanatics it is okay, but it doesn't look like faith to me. It looks like brute thuggishness. *shrug* If everyone treated them that way it would appear as if you had a bunch of slaves which really wouldn't make you much different from the places you are warring against.

You forgot the last point:
- Follow the Supernals words and bring fae to the Loving Radiance, as well as burn the Forest of Serenwilde free of all sins!

Burn them, burn them all!
Ashteru2005-10-08 12:22:35
Take that last little flickers of pride and honor Celest has and turn them into a blazing Forestfire that ravages through the Wilde! Show it to 'em, Celest!

Why does everyone think Serenwilde can't be brute thugs? Well apart from the tree hugging I love everyone no matter what they do to friends and family types. There is nothing at all that says Serenwilde is nice, and in fact plenty to say Serenwilde is NOT nice. Many seem to have forgotten that, instead bringing their sad little grove sitting ideals from other IRE games over to Lusternia and deciding that is the way all forestals should be.
As far as the cities are concerned Serenwilde is a forest full of barbarians, and they should rightly think that. We are the people who live the uncivilised lifestyle. It is time Serenwilde started shedding its IRE stigmata of forestals and actually make Forestals something people can say "Wow.. those guys don't just sit around and drink and snuggle... they kick ass!"

Well I went out to chill for a while and am now reading this post though as i read it seems to be getting longer so I'll jus add my opnion after not reading whatever is posted after the third page.
Over the ct we were told to go for it. So I go for it. I find Kalodan is killing all Celest loyal denizons. i find one remaning live denizon and sit at him, Demense and weave terrain. Several Serens come in after, Kalodan forests my demense i tell him to stop killing the denizons then he gives me all the corpses so I attack him and get attacked by the others standing they who obviously don't care that Kalodan is go against any alliance we had by kill all the things loyal to us. Which was quite a few.
I was doing what I was told in trying to take get Southgard. I was only told to "pull out" after Kalodan *with help* killed me.
I Was not envolded in Killing Munsia. I did however ask Narsrim to leave. I said Please. I DO NOT SAY PLEASE. And people bitch at ME saying I am trying to start something with him. In my mind i was being calm. I only wanted Narsrim and company to leave because of the trouble he was causing the city with arguing. Yet he refuses to leave citing "He helps the city" That does not make him exempt from a request.
I finally Left because Elaeni came over and wanted to go somewhere and I needed to get away from people ASSUMING I was trying to start something by asking calmly, for a person causing the city to argue, to leave.

Answer: Burn Serenwilde.
Ashteru2005-10-08 12:38:19
really, Celest shouldn't put up with all those things...They should break off the Alliance and look for another cities help to show Serenwilde what it means to feel like Glomdoring.
Iridiel2005-10-08 12:38:41
I vote for releasing Kethuru or whatever his name is again. And letting him burn the entire basin to the ground. People got together and acted civil when that happened!

I assumed that Serenwilde didn't want to be brute things because that is what Magnagora is chastised with over and over again. I never said we weren't supposed to kill. I never said that we should only drink of snuggle I am not one of those.
It just seems off to me to kill the people you want to protect and basically bring them into slavery when the nations you oppose do exactly the same thing. You become mirror images of your own opposite fighting force. If that is the way you want to do it then I will gladly hush up and say no more on the topic. It just seemed really weird to me. Especially the killing of the people who were thinking of Celest because before everything started there was some loose agreement here, and I am not speaking of players. I am speaking of cccs on the behalf of roleplay.
Killing people who you are trying to win over just seems really disrespectul and dishonourable. I thought we use to shout about having honour and things. That was all. As far as grove ideals go, I've never really played IRE as a druid not well enough before I started this mud.

Except the other city (Magnagora) stands for everything they're against and the commune (Glomdoring) also stands for everything their against, and sucks.

Yeah!!! I want to see Celest allianced with Magnagora and Glomdoring, just to piss off the Serenwilde. Awesome RP there!
After all, if a single comune has managed to forget taint exist, others can do the same.

Pffh...Pacifist, Treehuggerfriend! Ban her from the city, I say! BAN HER!
Kaileigh2005-10-08 12:44:22
After reading some more and statements of "only having influencers" Well us three were obviously doing good from the number of Dwarves Kalodan gave me I know personally I got quite a few which I've never done before. I even managed to kill a few people.
The fact of the matter is. Alot of Serenwilders knew he was killing the dwarves, none of them cared to stop him. Kaileigh of course was going to put a stop to it. She asked him to stop, He threw it back in her face.

Nah, I went serenwilder, I am the enemy now!
Of course, the fact that my char is engaged with a Celestine might help a bit and instead of burning me on a stake you might consider a fast headcutting dead.
Of course, when I suggested in Celest that maybe we should be nice to Serenwilde isntead of looking for yet another enemy, I almost got banned enemied and publically burned, so I guess there's no hope for me. I am a treehugger at heart. They said the main law in the comune was to be common sense, so at least they might even understand my point.

*sniffle* I questioned it, but I couldn't be bothered with influencing. I was busy trying to free a Goddess.
Iridiel2005-10-08 12:47:56
Ialie! How you dare! You putting a Goddes before the wellbeing of your comune? Gods aren't that important, they can stay trapped into the tainted plane where they are suffering under Kethuru rule for a little bit more. They're inmortals after all

Pffh, Traitors don't deserve quick deaths...they'll feed you to Elohora! And then, they'll burn your clothes and strew the ashes into the sea of despair!
F'ai Celest!
