QUOTE(Gregori @ Oct 8 2005, 02:24 PM)
As far as the cities are concerned Serenwilde is a forest full of barbarians, and they should rightly think that. We are the people who live the uncivilised lifestyle. It is time Serenwilde started shedding its IRE stigmata of forestals and actually make Forestals something people can say "Wow.. those guys don't just sit around and drink and snuggle... they kick ass!"

The day that actually happens, the tainted empire is over with for good. Though I don't think it will be anytime soon, when I hear the opinions of those in power, aside from you.

*sigh* Do I smell water plane bans and difficulty getting refills in the future?

Be interesting seeing water plane bans enforced. You can't even keep an aquamancer there to guard against Magnagorans.

didn't you try that once? And didn't like...no one listen to Celest? >:D
Acrune2005-10-08 13:15:45
Most of the serenwilders I see there are average to small strength. When magnagorans comes, its people like Ixion dry.gif

Nope.

Edit: Well, Celest might have at one point. For like an hour or so...

Hey, I bash on water.
Gregori2005-10-08 13:17:03
I bash there too, and the last time we got threatened with Water Plane ban we all laughed and said "Hey let's all go up there and see them enforce it!"

And the great thing about that is, you can't threaten to not refill for us any more. Because you never refill for us anyways. Meanie. sad.gif
Laysus2005-10-08 13:18:57
It's taken you long enough to cotton onto that, I've used that threat at least three times and it's worked. biggrin.gif

I can't be bothered to read the rest of this post.

QUOTE(rhayni @ Oct 8 2005, 04:57 AM)
Or are you saying that Serenwilde should've handed Southgard to Celest after getting it under control for them?  blink.gif
201318

Yes, that's what we're saying. I seem to remember doing this exact thing in several different circumstances. In fact, I remember holding a demesne in a village, dying many, many times to hold that demesne, and even running around villages, checking for uninfluenced villagers and yelling over ESA that I needed a Serenwilde influencer and a Celestine chanter for them.

In addition to this, the inflamitory remarks I've heard concerning the city and the people in it from people I used to respect OOC makes me sick. It seems you were just all waiting for this chance to jump on the bandwagon. Enjoy.
Unknown2005-10-08 13:20:56
I've offered to discuss it ingame. No one's bothered to contact me.
Vesar2005-10-08 13:23:42
I'm hearing from people that we did, and that we were strong-armed out.

Besides this fact, again, I can remember instances where we held the village for the Serenwilde. I didn't necessarily think that they would win it, but as long as they had one influencer (I think it was Nejii, actually), I was going to work to hold the village. We lost the village, yes, but our Alliance was in tact.
Unknown2005-10-08 13:24:13
Why does this whole thing have to be defended ICly in an OOC forum?

Celest, Serenwilde betrayed you for their own personal power. Now isn't that an interesting twist! biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Ekard)
I was in comand during influencing and it was 3 of us able to influence in first few minutes. Me, Shinza and Kaileigh. And me alone influenced around 7-10 dwarfs in mines in first minutes.
Then after i heard how many influencers Seren have i ordered to stop influencing and start killing Mags and Gloms. And we did it. And when we get 8 people to influence, Mags and Gloms were constantly killed. I ordered to start influenicng again and we were doing pretty well and i asked again to allow us to take it and gor same answer, we have 18 peoples here.
So after trying to convince you all to stop influence for a bit and give us a chance you sad NO.
So i ordered to pull back. Peoples were alredy pissed on Kelodan for killing dwarfs and Kaileigh.

And you gona tell me that Glomdoring would get it before us if you would just help in killing them?

If Celest had started out influencing a village and it was understood as such, then I would have tried to assist to very end. SW has four villages. We didn't need another, especially with Southgard and Rockholm on hostile terms. A fact that we had acknowledged in the past.

It isn't about numbers, it's about respect. They've helped us, we help them. If they gave up completely, then we could have stepped up. I hear arguments 'But we don't want the taint to have it!' and yet, we never try for villages like Acknor, with the hopes of converting the orcs. Not because we know (oocly) that it's impossible, but to weaken Magnagora and to enforce a little roleplay in convincing the orcs to let go of their slave trade.

We're not exactly crusaders against the taint. Some of us are more aggressive than others. I wouldn't say that Malicia's goal is to destroy taint, but seeing the world a bit more greener isn't a bad thing. Celest isn't a threat and while we're on peaceful terms and have assisted each other in the past, I don't mind seeing their influence spread.

I'm disappointed that we allowed the killing of dwarves to further our own gain. I'm so glad that I wasn't there. I think Malicia might take a new path in Lusternia soon.

I'm not going to offer an apology here. I'll be contacting various members of Celest icly. The Serenguard wouldn't have participated in this.

Betrayed maybe. For their own personal power? Everything I'm hearing says it was because Daevos and Ixion showed up and the village needed to be grabbed by someone quick before the tide turned.
Unknown2005-10-08 13:27:24
Actually Malicia. Serenwilde was there immediately as well.
