Subj: Anniversery Quiz

I hope everyone is enjoying the stream of games, prizes, and even an
event thrown in for this first Anniversery festivities. Apologies that
the 'schedule' has been rather chaotic but we thought you might enjoy
these sporadic events. The quiz, however, is scheduled for Sunday at 12
noon PST (that's about 19:00 GMT), which will be run by Raezon and
Viravain (or maybe they'll each run a separate one!). Prizes will be:
250 credits for first place, 100 credits for second place, 50 credits
for third place.

Regarding the artifact auction, we've been getting a lot of requests for
lists of artifacts, how proxy bids work, and other concerns on the
mechanics of the auction. Thus, we are canceling the auction previously
scheduled for Sunday. However, as we speak, a special little code monkey
Type MORE to continue reading. (82% shown)

is coming up with something special to take its place. More details will
later!

So, the question is - is the Arti auction off period, or just postponed?

I assume that the previous auction, which was scheduled for Sunday, has been cancelled. My guess is that they're coding something a little different, because of the requests for lists of artifacts, and the mechanics of the auction.

That's only my guess though.

Now I am not sure if I should have credits ready, or buy them later. I don't want to miss out on something because I don't have them on my character at the time.

Meh, just bugs me. I mean, everything has been great, and I totally enjoyed this, and this won't make me suddenly hate the one year celebration - and I'm sure whatever Hajamin pumps out will be awesome.

I just got real pumped about the arti auction and all.

No I love everything that was going on. It has been a blast really. Just that first I was just unaware of the auction prizes, and now everything during this period is completely unknown. It is just making me a little edgy.

I keep forgetting to go to sleep! >_< I even got my mom to agree to let me online at 4 pm so I could go to the auction. Now I'm all confused. BLARGHLJDSL

Since my previous post was more a "You didn't see what I saw from Her post" kind of deal, here's what I should have said.

What I got out of the post (and I could be wrong!) was that due to the people wanting proxies, wanting to know lists, etc, I'm guessing they're coding some kind of auction that will maybe allow us to see what's being auctioned, let you bid for someone else, and have all kinds of neat things we might expect from a decent auction, just that they had to code some extra mechanics for us to make it work better.

I guess no one else got that out of Her post.

Yes, the auction was cancelled that was previously announce.

We will, however, have another auction-type system in place to replace
it. I can't give any details now because it's still in development.

I am hoping take its place that it means that it will happen the same time the orginal auction was going to happen, because after Sunday I cannot see it either. Well I am hoping for the best.

I'll admit it. I did a couple congratulatory shots of Captain tonight. My room mate is a freshman this year too, from Canada, but is a starter on the school's hockey team, and in fact played all game - scored three of our six goals, and we won the game, 6 to 1.

So I'm a bit buzzed, and not reading the between lines.

Anyways. Yay! Okies. Just, you know. I want a chance to bid on artis and stuff.

Extra mechanics is not the word for it, 100% completely new system not made in any other IRE gain would be the correct way to describe it...

Hah, so I was reading between the lines. New system more than extra stuff though.

Hopefully such a system will have more than a one time use, and we can auction things off later on as well.

Thanks for all the hard coding (hah, pun) that you do for us Haj, as well as anyone else who is involved in these projects. Contrary to popular belief, we do appreciate it.
