Actually we are pretty good judges of when something is bugged. Most of the things you find out are bugged are due to the players informing you that "hey this is bugged". Without a means to alert other players of this in as IC a fashion as possible we open the doors for abuse of said bugs.

There has been many times that a bug has come up and I have yet to see any Admin announce that this is bugged do not use it, without players first announcing the fact. There are bugs currently that we are still waiting for you to tell us if they are bugs or not. Since we can't discuss them though and since you haven't got off your high horse I will assume they are not bugs and encourage more druids to sap people on the ground. I would hate to have them not using the skill on the ground because it hurts your sensibilities for me to use the phrase "Sap is currently miswoven, please be careful in using it."

So...

If something is causing an untrapped error in the code, like the other day when Ibaesha was trying to hold a hero-fete, and we had to tell the 12 or so people gathered that we couldn't hold it, what do you we say?

"Ooops, not enough food. Sorry guys."
Sure, good idea.
"I've got food, I'll give you some!"
"I'm a cook, I can do it, don't worry."

There are some things that are blatantly a problem occasionally, and when you've got to let commune/city-mates know, Don't Do It!, occasionally making a well-masked OOC reference isn't that terrible is it?

And agreeing with Gregori's example - Sap. We're all assuming it's a bug that we can suddenly use it on the ground. It might be be an unannounced change, but some of us would rather wait on that announce rather than deal with multiple pages of discussion on sap and bug abuse on the forums.

So we encourage others not to use it.
I'm quite happy to go OOC in tells with people when I can to let them know when something is obviously broken, or causes an untrapped error in the code.
But sometimes you have to do it on a wide scale, like CT.

And then there's maelstrom that used to (does it still?) break your staff, cost 10 power, cost all your mana, hurt the caster, and thats it? That was the rumor, anyways.

"Oh, guess they meant it that way"

We don't watch clans really, as they can be OOC if the owner wishes it to be.
