Just wanted to thank Estarra, the Lusternian team and all of IRE for making such a generous offer of donation - ten percent can be a good chunk of profits and working budget - to help out the victims of the earthquake overseas. It's good to see private companies giving a little back from time to time and it is nice to know something we enjoy so much can also help a worthwhile cause in some way.
Thanks guys and girls!

This is a very generous action on the team's behalf, but can this offer include all purchases made this month, retroactively?
A 20% bonus sale after buying a large quantity of credits, because we were told there would be no sale is not cool.

EDIT: was meaningless
Very kind of IRE and you guys running Lusternia!

It's really nice of IRE to do this and I'll do my best to wrangle up some cash to help even though I wasn't planning on buying any soon

I've had this hapen before... and I was annoyed for days for the loss

Ah...I think you're both missing the spirit here.

I'd be happy to have my earlier purchase go towards the relief effort.

I agree. I think that it's a wonderful thing IRE is doing. However, buying 2K credits 2 days prior to a sale leaves an awful bad taste in my mouth. Especially when given the impression there would be no sale.
I sent Estarra a message in game referencing this thread http://lusternia.ire-community.com/index.php?showtopic=6407, as I bought the credits shortly thereafter.
Regardless, it's a decent thing they're doing and I applaud them for it.

Can we keep this about *yay charity* and not *aww damnit I want more credits* ?
Unknown2005-10-11 04:13:15
Yeah, I actually feel like donating a bit more... for supporting such a good cause and the quality of the staff here, they deserve it.
Estarra2005-10-11 04:15:25
I wasn't aware we were having a sale until this morning.

Oh man, when I read this, I felt bad for all those people, then I felt happy because you said Guido too, then I felt sad, because not even Guido deserves to die, then I felt stupid, because you weren't refering to Guido
Unknown2005-10-12 04:05:37
Well I did think of killing guido 30,000 times, but he isn't worth the RSI .
Unknown2005-10-12 05:35:04
Yes, there's a few tens of thousand more dead every time there's an earthquake over there. After hearing about so many disasters they start to lose their effect.
Singollo2005-10-12 05:43:02
And people think I'm an uncompassionate monster :X
Unknown2005-10-12 05:59:07
Dang, now do I want to donate to charity through IRE or the bake sale tomorrow?
Dilemma.
