Why do no races get ego racial regen? It seems like an oversight... Some get constant health regen, some get health/mana regen under certain conditions, but noone ever gets ego regen. Viscanti, as I understand it, have their sipping penalty offset by their level 3 racial regen in taint for health and mana. Why not for ego? Wouldn't this balance them a bit better for influencing? With their low charisma and their sipping penalty, this would at least make them a bit better at village influencing. They're... really bad for it, as it stands, and I don't see why they should be. They're an aristocratic cityrace - why should they be the worst at swaying others to their cause?

Also, every cityrace gets racial regen in the demesnes of their city/commune except Merians. Why? I just don't understand this.

Because no one likes Merians! Well actually i always thought that they would, guess it's an oversight, and yes, ego regen would be good, then i could go back to Viscanti and have to sip even less with forcefield.

I don't get it either. Merians get health and mana regen level two in water, but that seems to only work when they're in actual water... Demesnes don't count? Yet Ethereal forests count as forests, for people to climb up in trees in, forage, and flow to and from... I don't know if Tainted Ethereal forests work the same way, or if Viscanti can use their health and mana regen in their tainted demesnes. But it doesn't seem fair, anyway. Merians... I hate to say this, because it sounds like a huge whine... Are not equal to other races when it comes to such a thing.

Mmm aqua demese should probably be made to count as water, for regen purposes only...no making us swim to fight you.

It still seems odd. All the other races get their regen in their forested, tainted or ... tainted forested areas. Why not us with the crystal clear water?

I'm against Aquamancers getting regen in a demesne that isn't deluged if only because deluge is awesome and amazing and most of them are too afraid to use it. Embrace the power - use deluge.

Guido once mentioned that there are no Ego regen Artifacts.

It would probabbly be too unbalancing or something.

In that case, all of Celest would be deluged, novices would drown left and right (Paladin novices, anyway) and it would be hell for everyone having to swim through the city.

Celest should be demesned, as a protection for the city. And those Merians who live in the city and protect the city should have the benefits of their racial regen in an Aquamancer demesned area (and when I say that, I mean any room that has been etherealy flooded with crystal clear water.)

I suggested before- If the room is deluged, then they get the full regeneration benefit, if it's just flooded, they'll get half. It is unfair to Aquamancers and Merians that they have to use an extra skill in order to get their racial regeneration whereas Viscanti, Elfen, and Faeling can regenerate on normal tainted or forested ground.

Viscanti should get lvl3 ego regeneration in Taint, to fit their health and mana regeneration, I agree!

You should try influencing as a viscanti, it's the absolute horror.

Brood Viscanti should get +2 charisma instead of a -1 when they specialize. A level 3 ego regeneration would just be plain rediculous but a 12 Charisma would be balanced I think.

Leave the -1 for brood viscanti.

Raise base viscanti charisma by 3.

Make it impossible for any viscanti to seek a Beauty blessing. The seal rejects them, they prize their own beauty over anything that some outside force will impose on them, whatever.

Edit: It also leaves them completely open to beauty curses! Hooray for RPed curse selections! Make them viscanti pay for thinking they're so special.
