Mhmm.
Arya gets better, Jon gets pretty cool, Cersei gets worse, Tyrion is GOD.

Sansa ends up beign not so hate-able. You actually get to feel pity for her.
But i wanna be like Cersei when I grow up... Blind to reality!

Wow, that must be in book 3 or 4, haven't gotten to those yet. As of the end of 2, she still needs shot in the face.
Revan2005-10-24 20:35:46
Love how she's getting bitchslapped by Joffrey. I smile at those parts
Sylphas2005-10-25 07:16:14
I dunno, I hate Joffrey a bit more. Sansa is simply stupid, whereas Joffrey is stupid AND a cruel bastard (literally).
Iridiel2005-10-25 08:21:28
For all those worried... Arya appears in the 4th book.
Joffrey is the one who deserves being killed slowly and painfully, it's the best example on how cruel unrestrainted children are

I want one of the wolves to eat his face. And then have him live for the rest of his life with no face. Being mocked.

Hope you guys don't mind me resurrecting this thread. Just wanted to add one to it instead of adding a new thread.
Well, you've read the books, now play the game: A Game of Thrones Roleplaying Game
Personally, I wouldn't buy either edition, yet. Either when the price goes down or someone sells it on Half.com.

I like the board game.
But I think too many people are comming up with variations on it, and its easy to tell who is going to win early on.

Hrm, I didn't even know there was a board game. I should have known, almost every book series, anime series, etc has some form of trading card game, roleplaying game or board game verison of RISK or Monopoly or whatever.
Daganev2005-11-07 05:49:52
The boardgame is actually original.
Its built alot off of game theory, there are no dice and very few random events.
Its really a game of figuring out what other players are thinking and how to overcome them.

We have it, and a few of our friends have asked for it as birthday present. It's strategic, and your options are pretty limited, wich makes good planning and knowing the other players possible actions fundamenta. Also, rules are awfully simple so it's easy to learn.
Only problem it leads to long games, of over 2 or 3 hours, at least at the beggining.
And for those who have read the books, the boardgame reflects pretty well the political situation of the books, it's quite fun to see

Cool, thanks for the description and the link.
Shiri2005-11-07 15:02:02
Hmm.
I get the feeling I should've asked to borrow my friend's Sword of Fire and Ice books when I had a chance a while ago. I had a load of new books from the library at the time.

The book has just hit my doorpost... nobody say anything about as it now exists in people's hands.

I'm pissed off. There are only like.. 3 Arya chapters, and frikkin 50 Cersei and Jaime and Brienne chapters.
Cersei and Jaime are alright... but I could care less about Brienne. More Arya! :*(
