So the curse suddenly dissapeared because *legasp* someone is actually using it for their own gain?

I think we established how curses are mostly useless to defend yourself, because if really needed the attack can work up a large ammount of karma in a small ammount of time.

Agreed. This wasn't what it was intended for. And probably a great way to have that particular curse taken out of the game. Yay for abuse.

If anyone is considering it, I really hope they back out of it...

1) Totally OOC.
2) Abuse of the Curse. Good way to get it removed.

It's not abuse at all. They have to die and spend karma just to get it, then both people have to be in realms. It reduces my exp gain a lot too, hurting me as well.

Actually it's perfectly legal to use the curse for that purpose, a God has confirmed this.

Why not take this laughable complaint to the Idiots forum? This is the merchandising forum last I checked. The purpose of the Harmony curse is to leech experience from the cursed to the curser.. isn't it doing exactly what it was intended for?

Not quite. The curses are supposed to be a punishment for the cursed since s/he killed an innocent. Now, Ixion however is using this on purpose, to help him gain gold/credits. Hence it's not a punishment anymore, as it was intended, but quite the opposite.

That said, I've done this before as well, though I was the cursed one, so I can't really say anything, other than that I understand if people say it's lame. I doubt curses were coded to help the cursed ones to gain gold/credits.

If a divine said using it like that is fine, I can't see much of a problem. After all, when a divine speaks against us, we're told to shut up as well! So kindly do what you tell us to do in these kind of situations.

And yeah Aesyra, you can't say much, since you're letting someone harmony curse you for experience, yourself.

Umm people, you whining now is useless. I have been telling people SINCE THE CURSE WENT IN how easily used this way the curse really was. Twas all your faults for not listening when I been sayin it before, but waitin till I showed others what a valuable commodity it was.

As has been posted in game, effective immediately, ANY ACTION OF ABUSING THE CURSE to gain experience will result in both the person cursing and the one cursed being considered guilty.

If you have an arrangment of this sort going on now, it is your job to remove the curse. We will catch you.
