Lost Mortal Races?

Will we eventually get books of Elder Gods that splintered themselves that no longer have races out and about? Or was that just like..a little note to enhance the story?

I thought the same thing when I first read that. I imagine that there were several mortal races that were wiped out during the Vernal Wars, and some that simply never found their way to the Basin of Life.

But we'd need some way to ensure that there aren't too many, otherwise everyone would switch to that race. Which'd be kind of dumb...

Well, if we discover any new ones, they don't have to be made playable. Could just give them a village.

I'd like to see some interesting playable races, coming from outside the Basin.

I wonder if that one Third Circle, the Amporphous one, splintered. Could you imagine a blob race?

If there are some that never found their way to the Basin then it would be cool if an outpost was found outside the Basin where a new race was hiding.

But he gets to choose what his race would look like. Bollikin probably wasn't some weird rabbit/fox/skunk/groundhog/wolf/every other animal thing but he was able to choose what his splintered race would be like. At least, that's how I interpreted it.

(Wow, I wonder what the every-other-animal model of Bollikin would look like...)
