I don't have to visit ugly enchanters anymore or wait around 2 RL days for refills.

Yes, but your shopkeeper has to visit the ugly enchanters for you!
Jack2005-10-16 21:31:37
Not if said shopkeeper IS an ugly enchanter!
Ashteru, buy a shop.

Congratulations...you just earned the privileg to buy your enchantments at 200 gold per charge...
But I thought about it.

Yes, I was just realizing that was needed.
The question is how high should it be? Near trans?

Should read the thread before posting, huh? Oh well. Another thing to add to my wish list. I'll probably lose a lot of business too
Athana2005-10-16 23:57:53
Hmm can you carry around kegs and cubes in your inventory and recharge/refill your items when you need or do they have to be in shops?

QUOTE(Vix @ Oct 16 2005, 03:00 PM)
So this means that a shopowning Mage is now able to make Cosmic enchantments if the cubes are generic charges? And how will it work for jewelry that has no charges on it already? Like if I wanted 20 waterwalk on a bracelet that had never been enchanted before? How will it know I want waterwalk insteady of Mercy?
206635
Actually, the cosmic or elemental enchanter would have to enchant your item ORIGINALLY for you to get the specific effect you want on the item, all the cube does is allow for already enchanted items to be recharged without having to visit an enchanter, and since the magic is RAW magic, it doesn't matter who enchanted the cube.
so, those looking for specific enchantments for the first time or if theirs decays, STILL have to seak out the corrisponding enchanter to get said item enchanted in the first place, or buy already enchanted items from shops.

Very very happy about this change. I've been thinking of switching back the alchemy, just so I can get a refill the moment I want one, but perhaps I won't need to now.
Unknown2005-10-17 00:24:36
Well, most alchemists and enchanters are out of business now, but for everyone else... w00t.
Malicia2005-10-17 00:31:09
Mmmmmm, this is nice. Thanks to the lovely creators of Lusternia!
Revan2005-10-17 00:33:34
I'll totally find a way to extort money off of this when I return. I AM the Basin's best enchanter after all

I have my own cube that is recharged for free by a friend who just charges me powerstones. In return, I have access to free recharging of *any* enchant at whim. Good luck extorting.
Cubes aren't that expensive and last 150 months. Anyone with brains will have their own.
Athana2005-10-17 00:37:11
Heh kegs are making those neverending vials look pretty useless

Nonsense. If alchemists/enchanters bother to charge correctly, they can still make as much or even more than before.

Well yeah I thought it's just for the shops but apparently you can just carry it around with you. I'd really prefer it to just work in the shops.
Unknown2005-10-17 00:40:53
Yeah. In a month every fighter will be lugging around 1 vial of each potion and fifteen kegs.

That would be silly. Why would a keg only work in a stockroom? This is basically just a means to effectively buy in bulk. You could still achieve the exact same effect (as many do) with 100 vials... and people have been doing that. If anything, it removes the excess clutter.

Order Guido Pour Keg
I don't suggest it
Unknown2005-10-17 00:43:28
They need to make it so that dilute hits all the kegs someone is holding.
Athana2005-10-17 00:44:20
this is a hit on the vial selling department...that's the only times jewelers get to sell bulk gems
