They need to make it so that dilute hits all the kegs someone is holding.

Dilute was removed like 4 months ago for Preserve.

sad.gif this is a hit on the vial selling department...that's the only times jewelers get to sell bulk gems

Yup. sad.gif

* does this work with poisons?
* does the keg refill size depend on trans alchemy? ie, will a trans alchemist filling a keg fill refills for 60 sips each?
* .. cause if it does, you've just killed the non-trans alchemists. Great, another skill you need to trans to compete. smile.gif

Pfft, with jewelry you need a 500cr artifact to compete. tongue.gif

Nonsense. If alchemists/enchanters bother to charge correctly, they can still make as much or even more than before.
206737

Yeah, if you're a trans enchanter. sad.gif

I have my own cube that is recharged for free by a friend who just charges me powerstones. In return, I have access to free recharging of *any* enchant at whim. Good luck extorting.

Cubes aren't that expensive and last 150 months. Anyone with brains will have their own.

Yea... sorry about getting a bit ahead of myself there. Must learn when words are smart...

Can we make kegs and cubes only work in shops ? tongue.gif
Unknown2005-10-17 04:05:54
They should only work in shops, or in rooms where a keg has been SET UP, or some such. You know? So they can work in like manses and stuff. Meh.
Sylphas2005-10-17 04:09:32
This is excellent for most, but it will kill the market for most enchanters and alchemists, especially if you can carry them around.
Xavius2005-10-17 04:12:00
How does this kill the market for alchemists? These things still need refilling.
Sylphas2005-10-17 04:15:00
Because you can sell in shops. Individuals will get much less business, the person who is friends with a shop owner will get a lot more business. The total business stays the same, it just shifts to a smaller subset of the population of alchemists. Pretty much the same with most other skills, I assume, we're just going to have to deal with either finding a shop to stock or watching our profits drop.
Saran2005-10-17 04:20:12
perhaps it's time for all alchemists to join a clan together to dominate the basin... *evil giggle* remember if we actually join together and try to work on some base prices and the like we could all still make ourselfes a profit (hehe dogma)
Sylphas2005-10-17 04:23:51
Doesn't matter what you charge, people complain about not finding refills for several days. They'll buy from the keg unless you undercut so far that you make nothing.
Saran2005-10-17 04:26:27
i mean't for refilling the actual kegs even for shopkeepers

Yeah except all Moondancer alchemists would be unable to join or face being kicked out of the guild, Saran tongue.gif.

EDIT: Obviously, because some alchemists in the clan would be Glomdoritos and enemies.
Saran2005-10-17 04:34:38
meh two clans then. though isn't the actual law that they can help enemies or "tainted"? if the "tainted" took "tainted" customers (hehe have to have a quotation fingers emote) and the others took the others this law wouldn't be broken, unless there is a new law against joining a clan with them in it but that means everyone in richters clans would probably have to leave.

This clan already exists, it's called the Naturalists Combine and is a clan of herbalists and alchemists from ALL orgs. I use to induct into it all the time, til i got pissed at Charis for kicking a mag herbalist out for personal non-clan-related issues.

Dunno if she's gotten any better about not doing that or not though.

Edit: and to stay on topic, these things should really only work in shops or else they are too detrimental to the alchemists/jewelers/enchanters.

It's a great idea if it is kept to only shops (and since Manses can have shops, they'd be able to use them that way Richter).

Basically make it where these things have to be 'setup' in a semi-permanent establishment to work properly and are just too cumbersome/unwielding to effectively take with you in your travels.
Saran2005-10-17 04:47:45
ahh well if all alchemists can join then it could be in control of everyone *evil cackle*
Unknown2005-10-17 05:03:33
The naturalists combine is being sold to the highest bidder and becoming something else altogether.
