Ponder: Does Lusternia have a Halloween, RP wise? I mean, what's the in-character justification for everyone dressing up like this every... 365.25 months?

I'm going out to the bar, hopefully, on Halloween. I'm dressing as an evil angel. Spent 100.00 so far on the costume. Now I need jewelry. The wings were the most expensive part. ^^

But I remember the last Halloween in Lusternia. I was just sitting around the Moonhart Tree when all of a sudden I saw a few messages and then kapoot. Scared the living bejerbers out of me.

I don't think we have an equilvalent. When last year's event happened, Jasper asked Lisaera something along the lines of that - and She said no, and some other things.

Agreed. I would like to see some Lusternian holidays come about. I rather dislike having OOC holidays put into games as some sort of twisted IC plot that makes no sense. I consider it just another form of degineration, regardless of how many admins are wanting a Lacoween this year.

Fain wears masks.. so we could wear masks to celebrate him, but silly Celest probably wouldn't go along with that.

I'm thinking something like the Wiccan holiday May Day for Elcyrion or Isune, but without the.. running naked in the forest thing..

Isune's could be like christmas if she goes back to being the compassionate divine. Y'know giving presents to everyone and making that one month peaceful between all 4 orgs.

I could come up with a holiday/festival for all of the them if this is a good idea.. -chin-

Usually at May Day there is a bit of mating in the forest going on. Or at least that is why I couldn't go to the big festival last May.

It's kind of hard to think of them cos usually they overlap...

IC holidays wouldn't be too fun. A holiday would be an hour out of every 12.5 days. It'd be 'Happy (insert holiday name here) everyone!' 'Eh, whatever'. Kind of like new years. A few shouts, and everyone forgets about it.

That is why A holiday must me a month long

Don't know which specific festival you're talking about, but May Day festivals as a whole do owe their origins to fertility rites. Might as well be scolding Munsia for claiming Christmas is about some babe in a manger instead of a jolly old man in a red suit throwing presents at everyone.

We would just have to schedual it so that lusternian holidays occur once every X number of years, perhaps 6 or 7, and last for an entire month. There's no rule that says holidays must occur on a yearly basis, even if just about all the ones in the real world do.

Erm...sorry to ask that....but...you know. Why holidays in a GAME? I come to Lusternia to have my fun and SPEND my holidays. So, I go from one boring holiday into another? O.o
