You forgot their muscles choking them so they can't sip, and their hands are clenched shut so they can't use weapons. Not to mention all that muscle hardening sure would drain that endurance quickly.Â

Ok, then, what does that change about the question? If I can also attune myself to the taint even far away from it while in juggernaut form for regeneration? As dreamweavers do by leaving their body in their best environment. Warriors also know how to breathe to lessen endurance lost.

That's why you should use darkseed, and entangle whenever you are in danger, while your demesne messes him up. It is within your power to defeat him, to deny that fact is to not know your own skills.
Edit: Also what's your skill in Resilience? I don't see how you can die in two lunges, Munsia has been tanking me pretty well with medicine bag.

If they had all the risks and limitations of dreamweaving, Daevos, I wouldn't have a problem. Your analogy vastly simplifies what the situation would be like if it were equivalent.
Besides, who cares if I hit them for 600 mana instead of 1000? I'll do it bloody fast, and I won't be in much danger.

If you're fighting a dreamweaver, you can go kill their body. It's within your power to defeat them, to deny that fact is not to know your own skills.
Edit: I'm omnitrans.
Daevos2005-10-18 15:16:29
Yes, yes I'll just run through all those totems and guards, to kill you at the Mother Tree. Why didn't I think of that before?????

Besides, I have no skill at all apparently. Medicine bag makes a huge difference too, good point.

Oh yeah, I'll be able to keep a warrior permanently entangled by the awesome power of web... why didn't I think of that before?
Terenas2005-10-18 15:23:48
Well, I just tested with Elryn, seems he can channel me for 10% maxmana + 400 everytime. This is pretty high, especially when you have a sip penalty and shielding doesn't stop dreamweaving. My suggestion, go Aslaran!

Doesn't change much. People just seem to only see the strong points of a skill, or, in this case, a skill set. You're asking us how we'd like that scenario while making out dreamweaving is the perfect flawless method of attacking, while obviously anyone can avoid getting hit more then once by a warrior attack. But whatever. Continue, this is all pretty funny

Bear in mind that's with a +15% scepter.

Next time, he should possess you and force you to sip out all your vials and poisons.... then eternal slumber won't seem so hot

If you kill him in two lunges, all it takes is for you to have one opening to kill him. That opening can be you immediately walking into the room, or you double lunging after you writhe out of the entanglement. Using Daevos' suggestion would also mean that he is not actually attacking you, since he is placing all of his effort into hindering you (If you are as skilled as you believe you are a druid demesne will never kill you just by him hindering you). Anyhow, just one opening and he is dead. He takes any time to attack you directly, and he gives you that opening you need to lunge him dead.
*Note: Healing has no effect if you can kill the person in one combo. What does it matter if I sip for 2k, if you can kill me before I can even take a take a sip of health?

I remember fighting shamarah once after dresaming jsut came in. Possessing and spammed sip charybdon, ugh very messed after that.
Imagine spamming empty vial, or better, samming empty keg
Shamarah2005-10-18 23:24:46
That was my favorite thing about Dreamweaving In fact, it was the main way I had to kill really tanky people, so I'd use it against people like you a lot.
I don't think spamming empty vial will work anymore with possess, because now almost every action in possession takes a short equilibrium, and you can't do anything else until you've got equilibrium back... however, if I remember correctly, sipping vials didn't

Unknown2005-10-19 00:27:28
I just think someone's become too used to knight combat.
Violet and kether aren't any good until you can kill someone with it near instantly.

Oooooo look another thread about how Warriors can't kill everything with two hits and therefore everybody should be nerfed to make them better. I so love the bias Daevos has brought to the forums lately.
Munsia2005-10-19 01:57:25
I told Elryn the moment he bodysnapped that Daevos would take it to the forums and attempt to get it nerfed

I don't know about Dreamweaving, since I have never been attacked by one. Judging by the objectivity of most of the posts, if it were Kaervas, or some other Magnagoran, dreamweaving and killing people in Celest or Serenwilde, then I would imagine a lot of people will suddenly jump to the other side.
Another interesting observation is that because it was a warrior who initiated the discussion, it tends to ALWAYS go back to the same thing: warriors do too much damage therefore they have no room to complain about anything. Pretty much like a paladin complaining about Forging not making any gold and people will say, "STFU, you've got Trueheal!"
